We Need to Question Our Commitment to Jesus—R Fritz

We need to look at ourselves and our commitment every day. We all have had bad days, but we do not give up. We let the Holy Spirit revitalize us through the Spirit we possess as it picks us up. It might take time for prayer or a relaxing timeout to get back to our old self. The more we know much is expected. Luke 12:42-44 says And the Lord said, “Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath. And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he knew not, and did not commit things worthy of stripes, and should be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” God has given us certain gifts and talents we should use for God’s will, and we should know what that is. God has given us these talents to be used as we will be held responsible, trying to tell God I did not know will not work as God knows all and excuses will not work. Whether it be spiritual gifts, musical ability, it could be finances or time. Whatever our gift we are required to use them to the best of our ability and asking for wisdom to use them for God’s glory. I do not know about you, but I do not want any stripes for not doing what is required of me.

Here is the point I want to make is if we love God, we will do what he asks, or we do not love God and are just words we speak which mean nothing. There are things I do not want to do for God and God knows I still do them, some things required me to do things for months to see the results God wanted going through things I did not want to do as God helped me get through issues that came up. If we stay with God, the things we think we cannot do we can handle them through the Holy Spirit. Our thinking needs to change because we are relying on our wisdom which when we choose Jesus and the Holy Spirit lives in us is where we can obtain all wisdom if we just ask. James 1:5-7 says “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraided (without reproach) not; and it shall be given to him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he, that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.” All we have to do is ask God for wisdom with faith (believing God will give it to us) and he will give us more than we have asked, giving is God’s character so we can trust him. The biggest problem we have is we do not ask. Our relationship with the Holy Spirit depends on us communicating with him which is what God wants us to be a part of his life.

We need to have faith to move God. How do we gain faith? Faith comes from when we ask God for something we get it, hearing other people speak of the things God has done for them or reading the Bible which tells the stories of what is possible. With God all things are possible, miracles happen. Our commitment puts us in a place to see miracles because we are involved in what God is doing for people. Our commitment also gives us blessings as well as doing the right thing. Our commitment is doing the things God wants us to do on his time. Most of the time the things God wants me to do can be done at the same time as what I am doing. It is putting all our trust in God through the Holy Spirit. Matthew 22:37 says Jesus said unto him, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” This is a commandment; it is also a commitment because it requires all of us.

When we do the right thing, we glorify and honor God as well as we are a representative of God. When we are a bad representative, people use that as an example of who God is and that gives people to believe they want no part of God. Doing the right thing is the opposite of what the world does. It is us not trying to get even when somebody hurts us, we should not repay them for evil. It is letting the Holy Spirit change our thoughts before we act out what we feel people need for what they have done to us. The world’s reaction wants us to get even instead of God dealing with that person. The truth is we want to make sure people that hurt us feel pain. Romans 17:20 says “Recompense (Repay) to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore, if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirsts, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.” The Lord always has a better plan to achieve the result; we just need to let it happen in the Lord’s time.

If we lack commitment, we need to look to the Holy Spirit who lives inside us for answers. We need to always be in contact with the Holy Spirit and let our love of him help us stay committed. God Bless.

When We get Beat Down, We Lose our Hope—R Fritz

Hope is what keeps us going as well as what moves us. Without hope, we revert to who we were before we met Jesus. Without God, there is no hope because we can only depend on man. Hope is foreign to us, and we do not understand it without Jesus. Ephesians 2:11-16 says “Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at the time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;” We were Gentiles in the flesh whenJesus broke down the partition between us and God on the cross, and when he left, the Holy Spirit made us citizens with the saints and of the household of God. With the Holy Spirit, we can speak with God at any time, being the hope. Things happen in lif,e it is what we do or the decision we make that defines us. When we believe and ask the Holy Spirit, or as we speak the words, or we start down the road where we believe we are doing what the Holy Spirit wants us to do, we move confidently.

I learned that what I lacked the most was confidence or believing in myself. That was because I believed I did not know the Bible good enough. It was the Holy Spirit that gave us the wisdom that while we speak, wisdom comes out of our mouth because the Holy Spirit takes over if we have surrendered our will. Ephesians 1:17-19 says “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to his mighty power.” We get the spirit of wisdom as the Holy Spirit in us speaks out the words in whatever way the situation needs to go. We become the conduit where the Holy Spirit controls the situation. When we want power or control, that’s where things end up poorly. When we give in and let the Holy Spirit be our words, then we can keep our feelings out of the situation and stop ourselves from personally getting involved. I have been in places where the Holy Spirit would not let me speak or not speak on certain things.

We have lost our way if we lose our hope. It comes when we stray from God, maybe something happened, we have blamed God and turned our back on God, or things started to go sideways, and we could not change things, and forgot God because our belief level was not very high. We went back to our own ways because we know our old ways the best and trust them even though things were not good. Isaiah 53:6 says, “All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way, and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” What we did not do was to give God the time to change our situation with us to start a relationship with Jesus. I saw who and what God was doing, and I was all in. We need to look at the situation and see what is good for us and buy in because our answer can go away and be gone. Sometimes we get one chance to accept what God has for us then it is gone. Sometimes it has happened to me when I did not accept the Holy Spirit’s words, and they were taken away. We need to listen and not blow God off; this is God, and our disrespect will not be tolerated. God knows our hearts and our intent.

We have control over most of our lives, as bad things happen. Everybody’s situation is different; from my experience, it requires us to get serious and come to God and ask for his help. In my case, I had to take my situation and look for whatever it took to change that situation, as it took weeks and months. It was doing something where God would speak through my thoughts and give me verses, and I had to work through my situation with love, and if I did not, it would be worse, as God’s wisdom was given to me to help manage myself and keep my feelings under control. We are our worst enemy, so God’s wisdom is what changed my situation and will change yours. We need to want to change as we have our situation because we did not see what was happening, or just did not know how to change what was happening. For me, it was two steps forward, one step back, next could be one step forward and three steps back, and change every day until things worked their way out. Situations have people involved; that is what takes time for God’s ways to change people. God speaks to people to change them, and sometimes that takes time. Romans 12:2 says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” We should not conform to this world because God uses spiritual things to change situations and people. Know this and understand how God can change our situation. God Bless.

When we get Serious with God, He will get Serious with Us—R Fritz Is there something in our lives worth fighting for? We should ask […]

When we get Serious with God, He will get Serious with Us—R Fritz

Is there something in our lives worth fighting for? We should ask ourselves and find an answer because if we have nothing to push us to do something for God, we will do nothing. Look around, what do you see? People are not deciding to listen, then obey what God wants us to do. If they do something, it is what we think God wants, not what he wants, because we do not know what God wants. Let’s get serious! I was talking to somebody today about years ago, even thou I did not know God at the time, I trusted him because I had nobody else I could trust to do something. That was something in my life I was concerned about, and I was serious enough to do what I believed at the time, which moved me way out of my comfort zone. Do we have something in our lives that would move us? Still waiting on that doctor to find our cure for our physical or mental issues. Time to get serious with God. Miracles happen every day, and I see many. Why not you? When I first knew God, I volunteered for spiritual battles, anything to get God’s attention. I am not asking for you to do exactly as I did, but do something, maybe be a prayer warrior, maybe talk to people about God, or our reason to choose God. Now, do not start to make excuses why we cannot do something for God, because when we make excuses, Satan starts talking to us, and we believe him that we cannot do things. That is why Satan keeps talking us out of doing something. The Holy Spirit has told me, “No excuses.” Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me.” This verse tells us when our thoughts tell us we cannot do something, tell Satan to just “Shut Up” because the Bible says I can do all things through Jesus. We think that is us, no, that is Satan speaking. I know because I had to walk through just that. You must have something bigger in your life to overcome fear. Then I needed somebody to keep me on a time frame to get what needs to be done, or we will never do it. I was serious, no reason we cannot be serious.

Fear is the biggest reason we do not do what is asked. It took time for me to do some of the things God asked of me. God knew it was fear that would stop me. I kept looking for Bible verses about fear, trying to overcome it. I would struggle and keep looking until the Holy Spirit finally gave the verse that stopped fear immediately. It is 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 says “(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;)Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” Our weapons of our warfare are not fleshly as the Holy Spirit in us fights our battle through us as spirits come against our mind which must obey and are stopped immediately. The verses will stop fear immediately. That does not mean that fear will not try to stop us again, as it will come at us from a different direction, but we now know what to do. We might not understand that there are familiar spirits that are around us and know us. I learned to do things that these spirits would not expect. It requires us to react to things without saying or writing what we are going to do. Spirits do not know what we are going to do before we do it unless we tell them. When we go on social media, Satan and his spirits read what we say, as Satan cannot wait, so they can speak to us as we are writing.

God has a plan for each of us, and we should find out what it is by asking God. Do we want to feel fulfilled in our lives? That could mean we might have to dial back other things in our lives. Do we feel we are missing something in our lives, but cannot figure out what it is? That is the place in our heart where the Holy Spirit should reside, and we will feel like we are whole when the Holy Spirit is there. Jeremiah 29:11-13 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken (listen) unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” If we are serious, we will find God if we search with all our heart, where we will have an expected end.

Everything has to do with us, and we are responsible for what we do as well as the things we choose not to do. Romans 14:12 says, “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” We will answer and account for what we have done with our lives before God. Why do we need to get pushed to do the right thing? The Holy Spirit will teach us all things, yet we go our own way. God wants to give us love, grace, and mercy and wants to be part of our lives. We just need to accept the Holy Spirit, then let him be our mentor to show love to others. God is the hope when we see our circumstances looking impossible. Let’s get serious. God Bless.

Are we Ready for Death—R Fritz Death is the end of this life on Earth, and if we have chosen Jesus, the start of our […]

Are we Ready for Death—R Fritz

Death is the end of this life on Earth, and if we have chosen Jesus, the start of our eternal life. The Bible says there is no sting of death because we have died already from our sinful life. 1 Corinthians 15:54-57 says, “So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Without sin, there would be no death. Adam started sinning (disobedience) in the Garden of Eden, and without that sin, we would not have had to go through life as we know it, because we would have had life with God. When sin came in, God would not be around sin and sent Adam away. We are born into sin, and until we choose Jesus and repent, death is part of us. When we die from this life, we go into eternal life because our sin was nailed to the cross, and there is no death. To those who do not choose Jesus and repent, there is death because there is still sin in their lif,e and death is the consequence for sin.

The Holy Spirit was brought in after Jesus died and showed us what would happen after death and where we would go as the Holy Spirit was sent to teach us all things. The timing of our death is decided by God, but we can choose to do things that shorten our lives. Remember, God is in control of everything. Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 says, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted.” Where are we, where time is concerned? The things of God do not have an unlimited timeframe. We might think we do not have to be in a rush as we do not know when our last minute, hour or day will be. When we are young, we think we will live forever, and as we get older, we start to think that time is going by us. We must trust God, as we also must know we do not know how much time we have. The thing that we should understand is that we have to choose Jesus and repent of our sins, obey, and follow Jesus. That is what will tell us where our eternal place will be. It is important to do the things to take care of our family; we need to make sure they are taken care of. The number one thing for us is to secure our place in heaven. Then we need to start our relationship with God through the Holy Spirit, where our will and life is surrendered to God. When we surrender our lives, we will hear the Holy Spirit as we live our lives with blessings for our choices.

One thing we should not let happen is to let fear make our decisions. Satan wants to control our lives, and fear is what he uses. Fear is a lie bringing the future into our presence. We worry about what we perceive could happen and dwell on i,t believing it might happen. There is no truth in what we perceive. Truth is what the Bible speaks of, how we should live our life on where the answer to any issue we might have. If that is not enough the Holy Spirit speaks to us through our thoughts and may not know the Holy Spirit’s voice, but I am sure we have heard Satan’s voice because fear comes from Satan. 2 Timothy 1;7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Fear is a spirit, so we need to fight it in the spirit. God has given us power, love, and a sound mind and not fear. Why do we not remember this verse, because it will change our lives. We were given tools to overcome fear. I remembered these verses when I was fighting fear, telling myself what God had given me. That was one of the ways to overcome fear. When we get older, we should not let fear control us, making our physical or mental health worry us, and let the Holy Spirit be our savior in life as well as death.

Satan can only get to us through our minds and our thoughts. So, we need to guard our minds. Philippians 4:7 says, “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep (guard) your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ.” The answer comes from the Holy Spirit, who resides in our hearts as we are the temple for the Holy Spirit. We need the Holy Spirit to be our eyes and ears to what is going on in the spirit. The spirit is where the battle is fought; it is when we fight it in the flesh, which is when we lose. The mind is the battlefield, so we need to get ready to battle. We have to take our thoughts and decide which ones to discard and keep the righteous thoughts.

Death is not to be feared if we know Jesus. Satan wants us to dread death as it will happen to each of us. If we trust Jesus, we can walk our way through it. We need to remember what Jesus says in Matthew 5:8 and believe it, “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” God Bless.

Do we know God and His ways—R Fritz It is imperative to know God and his ways. If we do not, we do what we […]

Do we know God and His ways—R Fritz

It is imperative to know God and his ways. If we do not, we do what we think God would want, where we are lost because God‘s ways in situations are not what we think they are. I have seen many times how I think God would do things is not how he sees things. I was amazed at how God solved the situation, something far greater than what I had thought. That is why when God sends us to do something, the Holy Spirit gives us what we need being words, Bible verses, or actions we need to take. When our relationship with the Holy Spirit is nonexistent, we tend to ask other people we follow we think know God. Bad situation because we are held accountable for all the things we say as well as our actions no matter where our information comes from. Isaiah 55:8-9 says “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” We think we know what is best for us, it is our pride that leaves God out of our lives. Why is it we think we can do it our way then when everything fails, we go to God? When are we going to learn go to the best option first not last. That tells me we do not know God.

My question to people is why do we not want to know God? Is it fear? I am somebody that fear controlled my life for fifty years but was not afraid of God but of people. Before I knew who he was I felt his presence. When I started to hear from other people who God was and what he did for them that is when God started to speak to me. That was God wanting to communicate with me. I ask questions of people because I want to know and started asking questions of God. Suddenly, he started answering my questions, at first, I did not know it was God. One day I was asking a person a question when the answer was given before I got all the words from my question out of my mouth through my thoughts. The next question was answered before I got anything out of mouth through my thoughts. That was when I knew God had a plan. I was battling something at the time and asked God to get involved in my life. I was looking for answers everywhere. One thing I found out about God is if your serious about finding an answer and keep pushing God for an answer I have usually gotten them, maybe not right then but later even a day or two later even after I have forgotten about my questions.

We have a loving God who is love, saying that his love is far greater than human love. 1 John 4:7-8,12,16 says “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.” God sent his son to take the penalty for sin, eternal death, the penalty which God handed out for our sin. God chose life for us which is greater love where we must repent, choose Jesus and obey him. When we choose not to obey, we choose to do it on our own way we bypass God then where is our love because we do not believe in God? God’s love is all around us and in us if we have the Holy Spirit. The question we should ask God is, is my heart right and am I hearing you? If I am not hearing you, why? It is us looking at ourselves by asking the Holy Spirit where we stand.

We are supposed to judge ourselves or we will be judged. We should be looking at ourselves every day to see if we are doing the right thing. It requires us to ask the Holy Spirit and pray about what we are doing. If we are studying the Bible looking at who God is, his ways, what words meant from God, you will find out how man changed the meaning such as grace because over time people have used God’s words, added to them and meanings were changed. All this happens but God does not change. Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.” This verse speaks of God’s unchanging nature and character are constant and believers can trust what is written. We can count on God’s character, words meaning and what he says he means. Love, grace and mercy are who he is. When we believe who he says he is we can move on with life with belief that what he tells us will happen. When we believe what the Bible says we gain confidence in our life as we follow God’s word. That confidence changes our life because that is what happened to me. When we choose to follow and obey what God asks us to do, we will see miracles, we will see our life changing as people will see us as different because we think different as we think out of the box (different than everybody else). Almost twenty-five years following Jesus I have seen many miracles sometimes so many that they seem normal and I am asked to do things sometimes I do not want to do, having just said that I am still human and sometimes I see things in the flesh and not in the spirit which is the problem we all have, it is a trust issue as I still do what I am asked to do.

The problem we have is we do not know God. Things we do not understand are when we pray, we are looking for what we asked for verses what God will give us. We then believe God did not answer our prayer when he did, not exactly like we wanted. We need to look at the times we believed God did not answer us. Sometimes God sent somebody to take care of what we needed or sometimes it takes time for the person to do what God wants done. 2Corinthians 5:7 says “(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)” We just need to stand and wait on the Holy Spirit to get everything lined up as we are not forgotten. Our trust and our ability to learn who God is, is where we need to look in the Bible as that is what I did where the Holy Spirit will show us the answers we are looking for. God Bless.

What does it Take to Win Battles in the Spirit—R Fritz

It takes the love of Jesus Christ to win any battle. Without that love, you will not obey Jesus Christ because it requires you to change. John 14:20-23 says, and this is Jesus speaking “At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him and will manifest myself to him.” Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode (residence) with him.” This says that you shall know when you and the Holy Spirit are one. The Holy Spirit will take residence with you with love, and you shall keep his commandments. The Holy Spirit in you cannot be seen by the world, they do not know spiritual things.

We have to know our enemy, the devil. The last four letters of the devil are “evil.” That is not by chance, that name was given by God. It spells his nature. 1 Peter 5:8 says “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” If you thought he is playing games I can assure you the devil is serious about destroying you, getting you to believe what you are doing is right and getting you to sin and ending in the same sentence as Satin to end in the lake of fire. The devil or called Satan speaks to people through their thoughts with them believing their thoughts as of right, good, or proper.

We should have righteous thoughts. The dictionary definition of righteous is virtuous or moral, certainly more than right. Righteousness is God’s nature and should be ours. Isaiah 64:6 says, “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags, and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” Righteousness cannot be achieved without the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the only way to be righteous because God’s Spirit is part of us. That is the only way to truly understand being holy, merciful, grace, forgiveness, all-knowing. We might think we know God’s attributes and the words. God’s words and God’s meanings are more comprehensive.

Our battlefield is in the Spirit even though we stand in the flesh. The world uses what we can see as its battlefield. With the Holy Spirit, we see, hear, and use all our God-given senses. This happens because we have excepted the Holy Spirit and when we surrender all of our wills. Our will is our mind voluntarily surrendering, then our body following. Our heart is where God is looking and can see the true you. Nothing is hidden when he looks. Our God is looking for who will follow him. He knows who you are, he is waiting for you to speak, study or make a move to follow him. God is waiting for action. He is looking for a serious person who wants to know about God. The action comes from our prayers and God saw how serious we are. He wants to give you the tools, God’s wisdom, and belief. Ephesians 1:17-19 says “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,” The wisdom and revelation from God will give you knowledge and understanding of God.

Spiritual battles are won by our words. Words gave by the Holy Spirit to speak. When we speak our words, they have no power in the spirit. Our words might intimidate somebody in the flesh because of our size or the gruffness of our voice, they mean nothing in the spirit. Mark 13:11 says and this is Jesus speaking “But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate (to plan beforehand): but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, which speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.” The Holy Ghost will speak through you if you allow it, you just need to be there, the Holy Ghost does the talking. We need to trust the Holy Ghost. It’s the Spirit speaking.

Satan wants to stop you from doing God’s plan. Sometimes if he cannot stop you or slow you up, He will get you to go faster and try to burn you out. I have seen Satan do both to people. I am showing you some of the schemes Satan uses on people. I have personally seen where the Holy Spirit shows me the scheme as it is happening. If you fight in the spirit, it is not your battle or fight because the Holy Spirit takes the battle. If you choose to fight in the flesh, good luck if you win or lose, it is all on you. It gets down to you and your choice to surrender and let the Holy Spirit control the outcome of your life or for you to take control as you always have. Prayers are what change the battle. They are all tools for those who want to win our battles in the Spirit. God Bless.

The Lord Should be First in Everything we do—R Fritz When we put the Lord first, he leads us through life, or we can choose […]

The Lord Should be First in Everything we do—R Fritz

When we put the Lord first, he leads us through life, or we can choose to be the leader in our life; the result will be quite different. Our life before Jesus was what we had, and I am sure we will find people say their life was not that bad. The point being, not too bad does not compare to our life with Jesus now, where God’s love shines on us. Every day is not perfect, as it is better than it’s not bad for our life. We are ok with being average or just getting by. God did not make us to just get by; he made us for greatness. We are used to being just average because we have been beaten down until we just gave up fighting for what we want, where God has greatness for us, and we do not even know it. It is starting to understand and know God, where we find out that with God, we can do anything. Romans 12:2 says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” It requires a change in our thought process. Our faith and belief come back, then our fight comes back. When we get our fight back, that is when Jesus can use us because we know God, and the Holy Spirit becomes our teacher as we go, when at any time the Holy Spirit gives us what we need as we walk through our lives.

Our life requires change because choosing Jesus was our first decision to change; as we say, we are moving to the light. If we choose not to move further to the light and stay with the words being where our thoughts have not been transformed, we have done little. When we make the first move and stop, we put our lives on hold. Matthew 16:24-25 says, and this is Jesus speaking: Then said Jesus unto his disciples, ‘If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.” We must deny ourselves daily, which requires a decision. Moving forward with our thought process and letting the Holy Spirit be part of our lives, and eventually letting the Holy Spirit be the moving force in our lives. It all happens as we surrender our will and let the Holy Spirit use our personality and experiences to become the person we were meant to be. It starts when we trust God and moves further with more trust, and it depends on us to gain that trust. It took me many years, but those who embrace what I am saying and choose to be a student with the Holy Spirit being the teacher can become the warrior God ordained far faster. I had a lot of baggage that I needed to shed as I was being obedient to the Holy Spirit. Many will not have to do or go through what I did. That was my story when I chose something I am all in or I am not in at all. I chose to investigate before making that decision, as we all have that choice, and I had no clue what I was in for. I was told the Holy Spirit would teach me, and I had to embrace what I saw and what I was asked to do as I was trying to defeat fear, as I had for fifty years.

Fear is the thing that stops people from being on track. It is a lie, a thought from Satan that we believe will happen, a thought that we should discard, remove from our thoughts as we dwell on it. We cannot control the thoughts that come to us. Once we have these thoughts, we can accept them as truth or discard them as untruth and discard them immediately. We are not taught about our thoughts and accept all because we think they are our thoughts. I was taught by the Holy Spirit to keep the righteous thoughts and discard all others. The ones I am not sure of, I might keep for a while to investigate. We cannot depend on ourselves to know spiritual things because they are beyond our wisdom. Without the Holy Spirit, keeps us locked in the physical or fleshly realm, and what we see and believe is truth. We may see things that do not make sense, but the Holy Spirit opens the spiritual realm with God’s understanding, as well as understanding the Bible, to those in the Holy Spirit’s lives. The Holy Spirit can come upon anybody. It took me years to unlock what fear is and study the Bible verses on fear to win some battles, until one day I got the verse to stop fear immediately. God did not just tell me all the answers; he made me walk through situations, then get the answers to win battles. 1John 4:18-19 says, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear has torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” When fear arrives, it brings a feeling with it. That feeling or torment was not part of love. Perfect love is the Holy Spirit and fear must leave.

We are given that authority as the Holy Spirit comes to chase fear away. With fear gone, life changes as it comes down to the decision of letting the Lord lead our lives. We have a choice without Satan trying to control our lives. Once we know the truth about fear, we can feel the torment fear brings and know it is present. It is the wisdom that the Holy Spirit brings that if we put the Lord first, we will see in the spirit and bring an attitude to believe we can change our lives. God Bless.

We Need to Take Care of Ourselves before we can Take Care of Somebody Else—R Fritz Our mental and physical well-being needs to be taken […]

We Need to Take Care of Ourselves before we can Take Care of Somebody Else—R Fritz

Our mental and physical well-being needs to be taken care of first before we can take care of anybody. I went to a conference this week where our health should come first where we work too hard and can burn out. Sometimes I carry too many problems of people, or my day is too full which over time gets to me. What we should do when we get too many problems from people is give the ones we cannot deal with to God to deal with. The problems or issues we can work with people to solve or answer we should deal with and if we cannot at some point, we then need to give them to God. We are put in positions that we cannot win ourselves, it could be a test from God. The issues seem more than we can do as we look at the issues that look impossible. Matthew 11:28-30 says “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” God is who cantake on anything we cannot as we have to come to him because God will give us rest as we need to take God’s yoke and learn about God.

We need to find out about God’s ways. There is a time when we need to do the things to get God’s attention. Why would we not let God be involved in what we are doing. That sounds like we do not know God of we think we can take care of our life by ourselves as we have always done. When we do things without God which is what we do when we do without getting the Holy Spirit involved. We can use our wisdom or listen to the Holy Spirit. Sometimes we need to wait on God or God could be sending someone to help us but we decided to move ahead without God. Getting ahead of God is not good because God needs to go before us to get things ready. Deuteronomy 31:8 says “And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.” God does the preparations for what we are to do. God sees the things that can ensnare us or to trap us even knowing what Satan will throw at us. The path we are to take God is already ahead of us seeing the pitfalls trying to envision the fear that will come upon us and what we will need to overcome to keep walking down that path where God needs us to go to help other people. When God sends us on a mission, he makes sure we have what we need. It could be a skill he gives us; he could send somebody to help us as we will not fail. I can speak of what I just wrote because that is what God has done for me even when I thought I failed I did the part given to me by the Holy Spirit and was told and saw that I did not fail. When we do things on our own some people call it luck as if we have no plan, and we are blown by the wind in whatever direction the wind is blowing. The other part is if we are following God’s plan our stress level will be manageable.

That is why we must trust God because his plan was drawn up a long time before with the details put into action when they are needed. What many people do not understand is things happen to us that do not look like we were treated fair as God has used people to get us moved into the place where we are needed. This has happened many times for me and at first, I thought God was not with me but saw the things that needed to be done to get me where God needed me to be to deploy God’s plan. We do not know what God’s plans are because either our relationship with God through the Holy Spirit is not what it needs to be, or he knows what is best and does not want us to mess up what needs to be done. Sometimes God’s wisdom gets us to the expected end without drama. We need to see with our spiritual eyes to see what God is doing so we are not fighting what God is doing. Isaiah 41:10,13 says “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.” We should not fear because our enemies will be dealt with as God has us covered. God is always with us as the Holy Spirit lives in us.

Fear enters our thoughts through Satan because fear is a lie. Fear tries to take thoughts of our future and bring it into the present. I had fear for fifty years of my life and defeated it with 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 which says (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” Verse five speaks of everything and every thought that puts itself against knowing God must come into captivity to obedience to Christ. Thoughts such as fear will leave immediately because the Word speaks the truth and must. These verses are how I defeated fear because I keep bringing them up when fear wants to show up. We are given these words to defeat anything when Satan wants to get control over our thoughts.

Our battles are spiritual, and God’s Word are how we defeat Satan. It took me time first to study fear and all the verses that talked about fear until the Holy Spirit gave me 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 and I will never forget what I saw happen. We are blessed; we need to keep asking questions giving us the wisdom to defeat what Satan has planned. Remember God’s love defeats evil. We cannot do everything ourselves, let’s get help from other people as well as things we cannot change to give them to the Holy Spirit to deal with. God Bless.

Why we Need to Look at Ourselves Before we Look at Other people—R Fritz

Too many people are looking at what is “their” perception of other people which has not come from the Holy Spirit but from what they think or believe. It seems some people want to speak their words about somebody without taking their thoughts to God. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 says “(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience is fulfilled.” We fight in the Spirit and our weapons are prayer and God’s word. Speaking our own words does nothing to change a spiritual attack even when we think it is personal. Our feelings are hurt and our first thought is to attack them back. When we let the Holy Spirit take over is bringing our feelings and every thought into captivity and our feelings cannot get hurt because they are in obedience to Christ.

Personal attacks are what we see when people speak about us which gets us to forget we need to fight in the Spirit. This is what Satan does. Satan gets us to focus on ourselves or away from what God needs us to focus on. Satan wants us to believe what we see and think is true. We need to question some things we see and our thoughts because Satan wants to get in between God and us. It is to cause confusion if we are not close to the Holy Spirit. When we read and study the Bible, we begin to know the characteristics of God and the characteristics of Satan. Satan can counterfeit what we see as being from God. Satan can also do some nice things and we mistakenly believe that God is doing them. We need to ask the Holy Spirit who knows all things. If we try to figure out what is going on in the world without asking the Holy Spirit, we will not know the truth. John 8:31-32 says, and this is Jesus speaking, Then said Jesus to those Jews who believed in him, “If you continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

What I have seen is people attacking good people, people that God has plans for. I could not figure out or see a reason why certain people were attacked or singled out by others until now when the Holy Spirit revealed it to me. It is people looking at outward appearance and judging what they think they see. People look at beauty or looks, how much money they have, how people dress, and anything that is different than themselves. Sometimes it is being jealous of what somebody has at the time or being jealous of the gifts God has given to somebody. The one I did not see was those that God has plans for. The quiet ones who do not stand up for themselves. As the man says we cannot judge a book by its cover. We do not know what somebody will become in their lifetime. 1 Samuel 16:6-7 says “And it came to pass, when they have come, that he looked to Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD’s anointed is before him. But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance (appearance), or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.” The person The Lord was looking for in this instance was David. The small unassuming boy but the LORD knew his heart where David turned into God’s king, A man after God’s own heart.

People are treating other people the way they do because of what they see or hear. They do not understand they are supposed to love their neighbor as themselves. First, they do not love themselves and second, they do not know God’s love so they do not know God. We might ask why I would say that because God is love. 1 John 4:16 says “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. If we know God and are allowing the Holy Spirit to control our words and actions, we will know God’s love and treat people with love.

Believers should be looking at the heart of every person they meet which is letting the Holy Spirit show us who each person is. What I have seen is having a conversation with people usually shows me their hearts. It also shows me they have a relationship with the Holy Spirit. You will also see that they are growing in their knowledge of the Bible and knowing God. It is using our understanding and wisdom to help somebody else to be able to get to a higher plateau or helping them to get through some of the issues we have already gotten through to make their life easier and give somebody the wisdom to pass on to somebody else they know.

The most important part is us looking at ourselves first before we are critiquing or criticizing what somebody is doing. We were all made different for a reason, our likes and dislikes, our gifts given by God, and how God speaks to us or how we react in different situations are what make us different and the way God wanted us to be. We have to remember we are all in different stages of understanding and to get more understanding requires us to keep asking questions and studying the Bible.

It gets down to us and how seriously we want to know God and follow him. The want to know God will show in everything we do. We have to put God first and where God is in our life will show where our heart is. It is getting our priorities right because if our priorities are right our life will be right. Let’s all work on getting our priorities right and that change will change our lives and how we look at other people. God Bless.

Will We Lay Down our Lives for Anybody?—R Fritz Is there anybody in our lives that we would lay down our lives for? That is […]

Will We Lay Down our Lives for Anybody?—R Fritz

Is there anybody in our lives that we would lay down our lives for? That is a question we should think about, it could be somebody we do not know about now, somebody you will know in our future. The second question I would ask is how far would we go? I have not given any thought to it either. John 15:12-13 says and this Jesus speaking “This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” I was talking to somebody about somebody else that I met, whom this person knew well. This person was telling me how good this second person was and how they would do anything for them. This second person put up a building and did not ask for anything in return. The first person I know told me that they did some things to help this second person, things that would require stepping out to save them. I did some praying and thinking about what the person I know did. He did what most people would not do. The next day, I told them what I thought. The person I know literally laid down his life for this person. I see a lot of things happen, as well as things God has me do. I asked this person why they did what they did. The person I know said this second person, whom they know, deserved the help. The person I know said that they knew I would not judge them. I also told them they were doing what God wanted or planned.

What we do not understand is that God uses people in a lot of different ways to fit our certain skills. We think God does things this certain way, but he chooses to do things in ways we do not understand. Isaiah 55:8-9 says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Our knowledge or wisdom and our own thinking do not come close to what God’s wisdom is. I can tell everybody that I thought God would do what I was working on a certain way, but God did it his way. When I saw what happened, I was impressed. God does not do things the same way for similar situations.

The thing I ask all people is, are we really following Jesus, or only on our schedule? In other words, when we have time, we do what we need to do for Jesus; otherwise, we do what we need to personally do first. What I have seen is that when we follow Jesus, our schedule is known by God, there is no secret that God does not know, so if God wants us to do something, we are on God’s time. God’s time is God knowing our schedule and fitting in what God needs done all at once. Most people do not know about God’s time and how it works. Ecclesiastes 3:1,17 says, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.” God has a time for everything. Sometimes being on God’s time seems like it moves more slowly. Remember, God is in control of our lives if we let him. When I hear people tell me stories about health or other issues, I ask them if they are praying or talking to God, as the Holy Spirit lives in us; many times, they say no. They answer that they forget, when Jesus is first in our lives, how we would not be talking all day as we go. We forget all the benefits of choosing Jesus. Just being with us and not forsaking us is so important, as the Holy Spirit lives inside us as most people forget that. We forget when we have trouble, all we have to do is to call out his name, JESUS, and help is right there. God sent the Holy Spirit after Jesus died to be our Comforter and teach us all things. We are blessed beyond belief. I do not know if most people know that.

The Bible has the answer to most situations, but better yet, we have the Holy Spirit who has all the answers. Do we have a relationship with the Holy Spirit? What are the things that are holding us back from calling out to Jesus, because it would be us starting our relationship? I learned to ask questions of God and people, looking for answers because it makes people think about things that they have not thought about or things that they do not want to think about. The Holy Spirit speaks to us through our thoughts. John 16:13 says and this is Jesus’ speaking “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you unto all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.” Conversation brings answers because if the people I ask questions to do not hear the answers from God, sometimes I do. We need to take care of our issues so we can help other people, because until we deal with our own issues, we will not want to or will not be able to fight the spiritual battle. I have gone through many issues that I had been battling and had to let the Holy Spirit help with the fight years ago. We are not going to overcome our issues unless we invite the Holy Spirit to help us.

It has been over twenty years since I dealt with over forty years of past life without God involved. God puts me through new things like being a head coach for a kids’ team. There is never a dull moment doing God’s work. People are looking for something to live for; we all have a responsibility to talk to and shine the light of Jesus through the Holy Spirit that lives in us. The Holy Spirit draws people to us to hear the truth. Seeing that we are different gives people hope that they can have what we have, Jesus, the light of the world.

There are so many people whom we need to show God’s love; sometimes we may have to lay down our lives. Let the Holy Spirit guide us in all things. God Bless.
