You Have to Trust the Holy Spirit—R. Fritz

Trusting the Holy Spirit is believing in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is Jesus in the Spirit that lives inside you. Those that have the Holy Spirit and have surrendered see words and actions that are not from you, they come out of our mouth but they are not our words. Sometimes they are the words I see in the spirit that I speak. You have given the Holy Spirit the right to speak at any moment. I am writing these words because that is what happens to me. John 16:13 says and this is Jesus speaking “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.” The Holy Spirit will guide you which means you have to follow the Holy Spirit trusting him and the words that are given to you. The Spirit watches out for you.

It begins with you and building trust with Jesus Christ. I have learned to trust the Holy Spirit with my life. That is where you need to be. When you understand God does not lie and study his nature and attributes and believe his word never changes, you will trust the Holy Spirit. You need to trust the words given to you to speak are correct. That is the place where I have gotten to with the Holy Spirit. That is where anybody can be if they choose to. It is you choosing to change to be able to get to that place in your life to trust the Holy Spirit with your life. The words that I read come alive and while I start to study and write the blog.

Discernment is the tool used to see and investigate spiritual issues, checking if things are righteous and holy or evil and untruthful. Hebrews 4:12 says “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”  The word of God cuts deep and is the discerner of thoughts and what is in your heart. Your heart is where God judges everything you are thinking. You cannot hide anything from God. Discernment gives you the ability to see spirits. You also check when people tell you things to see if they are right. It is a gift from God.

The “Word” is what convicts, people as well as cut up spirits. The word can change situations in your life just by speaking the words in the Bible. The Holy Spirit brings up the words you need when you need them. 2 Timothy 3:16 says “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for

reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” Scripture teaches all and brings correction and this is where you can find out about God’s righteousness because our righteousness is like filthy rags. We really need to get to know God if we are going to be with him in eternity. People cannot be like Jesus if they do not know him or what he stands for. That is our job to know Jesus and the Holy Spirit helping to teach us all things. The thing that people need to do is ask the Holy Spirit for help. Nothing is automatic.

God has or will reveal his secrets to those by his Spirit. In other words, if we do not have a spiritual relationship with him, having the Holy Spirit, you cannot receive the spiritual things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:10,12-14 says “But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”  This explains spiritual things and where you are if you do not know the Holy Spirit. We need God’s wisdom, too many people think they know what God wants them to do or claim to know God. If we are trying to understand God’s things through the use of our intelligence we are in big trouble. God does not always do or ask people to do the same things the same way. His word does not change but the actions he might want you to do does.

Sometimes I have caught myself trying to figure out what I see. I have missed what God is showing me and need to ask God what I just missed. God will download the things you need to know into your spirit or you will see them in the spirit. The Holy Spirit will bring them back to you and to your remembrance.

The flesh and the spirit are in a battle against each other. A battle which we cannot win staying in the flesh. The spirit gives us the ability to overcome our old self and sin. Galatians 5: 13-14,16-18 says “For brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not

fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.” Liberty comes from having the Holy Spirit and “only” from having the Holy Spirit. If you do not have the Holy Spirit, you are under the law of sin and death. This is why you should be led by the Spirit.

The answers are always known by the Holy Spirit. It is up to you to “ask” the Holy Spirit for guidance in everything we do. You will choose to ask or to do your way of thinking, thinking it is God’s way. Too many people think they know God and holiness and his ways. I am sorry to say that is not always the case. We need to pray to find out exactly what the Holy Spirit wants us to do every time we do something. The choice is ours to ask and obey each time we do something or to do it the way we were told last time we asked or to do what we think God would want us to do. God Bless.
