If We ever Needed you, Jesus, now Would be the Time—R Fritz

Love is what we need now. Love (God) overcomes all. When I started writing this a couple of days ago, the 2 sentences were all I was given to write. It is not the first time that has happened. What people do not understand is I am the person the Holy Spirit uses to put on paper what he wants to say. If it is not time to write or he wants me to take some time off, I get nothing to write. God knows what is best for us or when we need a break. I knew I was waiting on something to happen for me to write about. I saw what God was showing me. It was if we are focused on him and what he wants us to do or say, He is also focused on us and what is going on in our lives to make our life easier.

I have been noticing different things, like appointments changing for people who I have to drive somewhere so they align with mine or God’s appointments. I went to a family member’s house and the Holy Spirit started talking and showing me things just before I was going to bed at 11:00 until I went to sleep. God knows when you need to have some fun or time off. This is the Holy Spirit showing you some love and respect. He knows how to treat you right. We were made in his image. “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” We were given God’s morals and his qualities. Satan comes along and tries to confuse right from wrong but we know better. Satan tries to convince you that you can do what you want but we know what is right. Satan wants you to be just like him.  Just like Adam and Eve, we know when we have done wrong. God gave that to us through having his image. We are not truthful with ourselves when we say we did not know moral issues because that little voice will let you know. We choose not to listen at some point and then choose not to obey. We then do not hear it, but it is still there.

What the Holy Spirit was showing me was he is looking for those people willing to serve him with passion and zeal. Something everybody that loves him should want every day. It is your want in waking up every morning. It is even when you are going through physical or personal issues. That is when you are trusting God with your life. That will be your strength and people may not even know what you are going through because you do not show the emotions on your face and still show confidence. The truth is none of us started with confidence and the emotional strength I talked about. Passion and zeal are different matters.

Why do I speak about the Holy Spirit all the time? That is the decision that changes your life completely. Yes, making a decision to choose Jesus Christ is probably one of the biggest decisions you can make in your life. This is just the start down a road. Now is the time where you decide which road or path you are going down. Choosing to stay at just choosing Jesus Christ and doing nothing is not choosing a path. Those that have chosen a path have made a decision when they have walked the walk not just talked the talk. Matthew 7:13-14 says and this is Jesus speaking “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.Jesus is not talking about only non-believers he is talking about those that are not walking with him and do not know him and people who do not obey him. This is the Narrow” way. It is walking in truth, not just in words.

We have too many people that think they know Jesus with words. The ones that know Jesus are the ones doing what Jesus has told them and have obeyed. The Holy Spirit that lives inside you is what changes you. Jesus changed many people when he was on earth. The Holy Spirit was given to those who chose Jesus and chose the Holy Spirit and then chose to surrender their will. We “cannot” change our sinful nature on our own. The Holy Spirit has to be a partner in your thought process, then your actions. This is the problem if we believe we can do it ourselves. We Cannot! You have maybe had a great life according to you up to this point. Life always wants to challenge those who do not want to acknowledge Jesus. One thing I learned was we need to judge ourselves to see if we are doing what God wants us to do. 1 Corinthians 11:31-32 says “For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.”  Most people are not taught to look at what they are doing until they find themselves where they do not want to be.

What I am trying to tell people is where you are as far as Jesus is concerned is just the start in your walk. That walk to know Jesus and make it to heaven. Hebrews 12:1-2 says “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed (surrounded) about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”  We need to run our own race that was set before us focusing on Jesus and what he had to go through.

We were each given a path to walk down. Whether we accept that path, the narrow one is up to us. We have to do something. Making one decision does not get you to heaven. It is a lifetime of decisions. We are all running our own race. We cannot do it ourselves. It requires the Holy Spirit and a relationship, partnership. You are required to do something and make decisions. You can make your decisions but if you do not make a decision by acting, you make one by not acting. I pray you act and run your race set before you. God Bless.
