When we Give our Best to God, we Get his Best in Return—R Fritz
When we put God first in our life, our life will flourish. That also means we will also have to find answers to any issues we have. It also means we put God first, our family comes along and is treated like us. Matthew 6:32-33 says, and this is Jesus, speaking “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” To seek God and his righteousness first gives you all your needs. We also have peace because God is in control, and we just have to listen to God. That sounds like a great life without worry. We all should want that life it sounds like a utopia. We must give up control and trust God. These are the changes that need to be addressed. The truth is our issues need to be dealt with by our family. Life does not get easier if we stay in the rut that we made. Living with the same issues every day wears on families.
Our prayers should give us the answers with the ability to trust. It is our trust that lets us overcome our fear. Fear is Satan’s tool to stop us from obeying God. Satan is always looking for ways to stop us from obeying God. Lies are the other tool Satan uses to control us, it usually comes with a small truth with a bigger lie to mislead you. The Holy Spirit gives us the ability to see what Satan is trying to do to us. We have to learn from the things that happen to us, or we will be going through the same things over and over. Having to live through an issue I have conquered is something I have said to God that I did not want to go through again because it was already conquered.
When we seek God with all our hearts and with all we got our life will change forever. Our attitude and belief in ourselves come from us trusting the Holy Spirit because we have seen what the Holy Spirit can do with us. It does not matter if “we” think we need to do it all. That was our life before we totally gave our life to Jesus. That is the recipe for failure or being just average now. If we want to exceed what we have ever done in our life it is time to seek God with all our hearts. You will do things that were not our strengths before we made the decision to be all in with Jesus. It is us wanting to be all that God has meant for us to be.
For me, it was going through God’s training plan to succeed in life. It was trusting and listening to make myself who God wanted me to be. Of course, I am looking at what has happened over the years. We have to be that person we were not going to be without God into that person God has made us into and knew who we were before we were even born. It is not by chance you know God and follows him, and you obey God. God chose you and loved you and you love him. Ephesians 1:11 says “In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated (predetermined) according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:” God has predetermined our future, we just need to ask God and follow his wisdom.
God chose us and we were created to be something special. I mean everybody was created for greatness “with” God. We just need to want God with all our hearts and follow God with all our beings. God will give you the life you wanted with you thinking about him or praying for people every day. We forget God used many people, God took the weak and made them strong, he took the people who could not speak, those, not the smartest, the most unlikely people, and with the Holy Spirit, grace and mercy made us into the greatest for his kingdom. Judges 6:13-16 says “And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us from Egypt? But now the Lord hath forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianities. And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee? And he said unto him, Oh my Lord wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house. And the Lord said unto him, Surely, I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.” The Lord used this poor unlikely person, Gideon to kill God’s enemy by himself. The Lord was with Gideon, and it was going to happen. That is our destiny, we just need to ask God through the Holy Spirit to show us who we can be, then let the Holy Spirit teach us to do wonderful things for God.
I want to show how if we give God our best God will give us his best. Just two days ago I thought I was going to change the spark plugs in my car, but I could not get the wire connector unplugged. I saw the automotive garage open when I go to. It has been closed for about 3 months. I did not want to force that wire connector and decided to go to the automotive garage. I had known that the owner had some medical issues. When I got there, I had a conversation with the owner and at that point, I knew God had planned for me to talk to this person. I told him God had planned for us to get together. I asked if they could show me how this wire connector come apart then I asked if they could install the spark plugs. They first shared the experience they went through with their major medical operation that affected their whole life. They said to me “you are one of few I would do my work right away.” I helped them install the spark plugs. After the spark plugs were installed, I asked them “how much do I owe you. He said to me “you owe nothing.” I said, “are you sure.” He said to me “just get me more business.”
When I look at what happened I had a need and God had a need. I was thinking of stopping to see this person at the automotive garage but was busy. God used a reason for me to see this person at the automotive garage to accomplish his will. The garage owner got a blessing because I showed up to do God’s work and talk to this person and I got two blessings, the spark plugs installed and no charge to install them.
This is what we would call doing God’s will and getting blessed for it. Everybody has that same opportunity. It is up to us to obey God and now we see what happens when that happens. Give God our best and put him first and good things for us are the result. God Bless.
