Our Question to Ask is do we Need God—R Fritz

One thing I have found is if you do not know God, you probably will not need God. It is a trust issue that if you want to have a great life, we will need him. When we do not trust God, we trust ourselves and it shows in everything we do. When we operate in the flesh, we think we know what we are doing and what is best for us. That comes from us not needing God or not knowing God. One of the police slogans on police cars where I live is “know us before you need us.” That is something we should think about every day concerning God because if it has not affected our life, it will. Jeremiah 11-13 says “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” God is looking out for us with peace and calling all Christians to seek God and learn what is best when they pray and to seek God with all their hearts.

Our past failure does not have to be our future. We can choose to change some failures from our past and make them better in the present and future through Jesus Christ. It is not just us but the Holy Spirit speaking the present and future into our life where our attitude and actions match our words. This is the Bible where the words come alive, where actions are spoken then actions by us become exactly what we spoke. If we pray and speak to God every day, the Holy Spirit will know what is going to happen every day before we even get out of bed, the issues we will run into are sometimes shown to us to alert us and to be ready.

You might ask how I know these things. It is because my relationship with God through the Holy Spirit happens as I have laid out. If we are a person doing God’s work or who God uses, God shows us or gives us a heads up with some people. Remember the Holy Spirit is in us and gives us the words to speak. Luke 12:11-12 says, and this is Jesus, speaking “And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: For the Holy Spirit shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.” Jesus says the Holy Spirit will give you the words to speak in the situations you are in, and we do not have to worry or wonder if God is with us.

About twenty years ago, I needed the answers to what I was going to say to people for God, or I would not want to go. What God did was use me to speak to people at work. The first person I talked to me said to them that “I had a message from God” and had that message until I was going to speak it to a co-worker and then lost the message as I was going to speak it. I told this person “Please wait a minute and I will pray, and God will give to me the message again.” They stood there and within 10 seconds the message came back to me to give to them. This was one of two situations where God trained me to trust him and know the Holy Spirit would give me what I needed seconds before or give me the words as I speak to people. This does not just happen to me, but it means that those who put God first in their life and trust God with their life are rewarded and are put in situations where the Holy Spirit uses us where our will is surrendered to the Holy Spirit speaks the words through us.

Some people may not need God, the rich can use their money to get through their problems. At least they think they can because some will say money can buy us happiness. Thinking we can buy our happiness is putting us first before God. It is pride consuming us and telling God we do not need him. It is a slap in God’s face. Yet we have people do it all the time and think they will be blessed. That blessing is not coming from God it will have to come from ourselves. I want to share what God sees in people and how they do not know him and treat God like another human or without the respect that God deserves. Sometimes I hear that people were told by their pastor that only ask God for situations considered major, do not bother God with the minor items. I would like to know where in their bible it says that we cannot pray to God for anything. It again proves people do not know God and either they do not have the Holy Spirit or certainly, they are operating in the flesh.

If God is love, why do we not want to truly know God and find out what God’s love is? 1 John 4:8 says, “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” Some people think they know God’s love because they know man’s love and think it is the same. We need to study what the bible says and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth. We have the Holy Spirit in us, and we cannot ask the questions we need to be answered. How can that be when all we have to do is speak to the Holy Spirit. We have the opportunity to know anything we ever wanted but refuse to engage our God. Is it fear or laziness that puts us in a situation to fail to help our family and friends when they need answers and prayers?

We all have God-given gifts. What would we do if somebody in our family had a serious medical condition? Then we might start to get serious. I can say I would do everything in my power spiritually and pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-19 says “Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit.?”

We have choices about what we will do when we are pushed into emergency situations. Let’s start to think of more situations as emergencies and get serious about what God has for us and not depend on somebody else. It is time for us to step forward and receive what God has for us. God Bless.
