God did not make us be in Poverty or Lack Anything—R Fritz
Poverty can mean many things to different people. It is the lack of something, the thought that comes to mind with most people is the lack of money. Poverty is actually a thought process. The thought process tells us that we cannot do things and it is a person that is coming against us. It is somebody that gets knocked down but stays there and blames somebody or themselves. We do not see ourselves doing any better through our thought processes.
Satan is the reason people have a poverty mentality. People believe the lies given in their thoughts by Satan, the father of lies. We need to know the truth from the lie and by ourselves, we do not always see that. It is us looking at ourselves and making sure, we line up with Jesus through the Holy Spirit. The question we need to ask ourselves is “Are we righteous and is Love in every word or action we do.” Truth is all that changes us from people in the world to people who follow and obey God. Truth defines us if we live by it because people will know us, respect us, and want to be like us.
We need to read and know what the Bible says because the Bible is the truth, something you can count on because it will set you free. John 8:31-32 says, and this is Jesus speaking, Then said Jesus to those Jews who believed in him, “If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” If we want to succeed in life and overcome, the word gives us all we need. It is the “living word” that changes situations you might get into. Most people have not seen how God’s word actually moves people and with belief moves mountains. The mountains are the issues that we cannot do ourselves but the “Word” and Jesus Christ can power us through with our beliefs.
Our attitude changes what we will accomplish in our life. We could have been beaten down most of our life but when Jesus came to change our outcome and our eternal resting place our attitude should have changed to an attitude of gratitude. With Jesus we can accomplish anything, that should have been the message we heard. But it seems like we did not believe that, we believed Satan and the words he whispered in our ears being we cannot accomplish anything because that is the life we have lived. Jesus came to set us free from fear and the lies that are spoken by the devil.
Somebody spoke to me about somebody they know having a poverty spirit and always worried about money and how it controls their life. Poverty also affects their spirit. I actually have known both people for over ten years. After I got home, I fell asleep and when I woke up the Holy Spirit revealed to me that both people had the poverty spirit. It was different in the second person in that this person could not keep money having a giving heart. This person had a problem with saving money. I had been praying for this person for a long time not understanding what was going on.
God has a way of showing us what our problem is and it is called mirroring. Mirroring is where we see a problem in somebody else or more than one person and God is showing us, we have the same problem. I personally saw it in myself many years ago when I saw fear in many people and asked God the question; “Why do I see fear all around me?” God’s answer was “he was showing me the fear I had.” James 1:22-25 says “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in his deed.” We are constantly supposed to look at who we are and not forget, that if we do God can show us when an issue arises from our past.
We have many people that have chosen to follow Jesus but possibly have not understood why they cannot get ahead financially and spiritually. We were not supposed to live in poverty or lack what we need. God gave us the ability to work and to bless us if we follow him. The problem is we do not trust God so we start thinking we can do better without praying and asking God through the Holy Spirit if what we hear or what we believe is God blessing us. We get involved in schemes that are too good to be true. We need to focus on Jesus, he knows what we need and Jesus is working to get you what we need through people that obey him. God gives for our needs and if we keep believing in him God will give us more to provide some more for our wants. We need to decide which of our needs come first. Philippians 4:19 says “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
God’s truth has been laid out for those where thoughts have been led astray to come back into the flock. Remember God “shall supply all our needs.” That is a promise, accept it and move with an assurance that God loves us. God Bless.
