When we Pray for Something or Somebody God might use Us—R Fritz

When we pray and ask God for something, God knows what it will take to change that situation or person. I saw this person going through one physical issue after another, this person was taking a beating. When we are not listening or accepting things at face value we get in trouble. The other thing we find out is God is trying to answer our prayer, but our prayer involves people, people who do not want to change, people who speak the words that they want things to change with no action. James 2:14,26 says “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” Faith moves people to do what must be done. It goes back to the body being dead without the Holy Spirit. We were meant to be spiritual.

The words given to me by the Holy Spirit gave this person truth they knew came from God. The second truth was the words that were spoken by me answered some questions about people that I had. When we are not listening and do things our way there will be consequences, the consequences this person was feeling. When we do not listen or obey, after a while the Holy Spirit does not speak to us and we have disrespected the Holy Spirit. All this gets us back to us and what our problems are, which in this case is LOVE. If we do not know love, we do not know God because God is love. 1 John 4:16 says “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God and God in him.” This verse is clear that those who dwell with God through the Holy Spirit are His and know his love.

One of the things I saw was this person did not like being told what to do, especially bosses who change their minds. I said to this person if you do not obey man, you will not obey God. That started the conversation where the Holy Spirit was using me to say what was needed to get the message to this person. One of the most important parts of this message was how to get back to being a doer, not a hearer only of the Word or of the Holy Spirit. James 1:22-23,25 says “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearer only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass. For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he is not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” We are supposed to be doers, it does not do any good to hear things but not react. This verse says this man will be blessed in what is done.

It comes down to our belief which is a word that requires people to act and not just a thought. That action also requires us to have a relationship with the Holy Spirit to tell us what to do and how to do it. Whether it be man or God a relationship is the same as it requires us to be honest and have no secrets because God knows all. We need to ask God into our lives and ask him into our issues. It requires us to be a doer because we are going to be the one that changes our life and our issues so if we are not going to be that person it is not going to happen. It is asking God as the Holy Spirit to be our partner in overcoming our past. It is that partnership with us that God shows us he will help us, we just must trust him. God is not going to do everything for us, I speak from experience because I have been through these battles.

We must be the ones to fear not because the Holy Spirit is counting on us to be his mouthpiece, the one who will tell somebody who wants their prayer answered or the one holding up somebody’s prayer being answered. Over the first years, fear wanted to stop me, God’s truth stops fear. That will not happen again because God will give me what I need to say when he wants me to speak. Mark 13:11 says this is Jesus, speaking “But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.” We just need to show up where the Holy Spirit needs us, the Holy Spirit will do the rest.

Remember the shepherd will not lose his sheep, people are lost looking for how to get back to that shepherd (Jesus). They do not know the way back home, that is our job when given to us to give the roadmap back home. It can be us to take them through the valleys with the Holy Spirit showing the way. God uses all of us to be a blessing for people.

God is looking for people, people who want more and who are willing to stand up and do the right thing. For those lost it is calling out for Jesus, he knows his sheep. It is God’s love that is poured out on us even though we do not deserve it. We need people to let the Holy Spirit know we are the ones that will help. We are the obedient that will go wherever the Holy Spirit sends us. The Holy Spirit will give us peace and a place to rest our souls. It is up to us to be sold out to God shown by our actions. God Bless.
