We Need to Make Sure our Life and What we do Lines Up with the Bible—R Fritz
We need to be careful sometimes why some people have come into our life and ask the question of the Holy Spirit if these are people brought by God for us to help. Satan also brings people into our life that are taking us farther away from God. We need to look at the situations we are in with our spiritual eyes and not about looking through our flesh. I have seen some situations where I had to ask the Holy Spirit if this person or situation were not from God that God would take the person away from me. That is what God did and very quickly. Most times the Holy Spirit gives me the subject to write about this time I was given Bible verses first. Jude 1:4 says, “For there are certain men that crept in unawares (unnoticed), who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God unto lasciviousness (lustful), and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” We have unknowingly let people come into our lives who are taking us away from what should be our first love (Jesus). This is what happens to churches all the time. These people are so subtle because the church is missing the Holy Spirit and people with the Holy Spirit, which is what takes them down. Our family or our family leaders need to take notice of what I am saying. These are people who look and sound like they know the Bible and we think are the real thing but are imposters or counterfeiters who speak what we believe are truth because they sound religious.
God did not choose for us to be ignorant. Ignorance is the lack of knowledge or understanding. God does not leave us or forsake us so why do we choose to be ignorant? One of the reasons is we are fearful of our God because we do not know our God through the Holy Spirit. Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of God, I will also forget thy children.” Choosing Jesus was not the end of our relationship with Jesus it was the start of the relationship, a working relationship forever, that needs to be fostered or cultivated as we go as our life depends on that relationship. We have trusted man but not given our Father in heaven a minute of our time. In some instances, we blew God off with us expecting a relationship with the same God. We expect respect when we will not do the same with God as the Holy Spirit.
We were all given a mind and the ability to ask for wisdom from the Holy Spirit. All we must do is ask for wisdom and it will be given with faith. James 1:5-7 says “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth (find fault) not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For him, that wavereth (doubts) is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.” Faith is what sets our asking for wisdom or anything in motion. Without faith, nothing happens with God. Faith also works the same as our prayers. In other words, praying is an act of faith, but we still need to believe God will fulfill our prayer or we are wasting our time. Our belief level puts us into motion (doing something). A thought by itself does not do anything, it is deciding and doing something that does.
Prayer and speaking to the Holy Spirit should become part of our day, it is not just before we go to bed, it is during the day at work or throughout our day because we get attacked by people, and spirits at all times of the day. Satan is trying to get into our minds to affect our decisions, but the Holy Spirit is also with us and if our will is surrendered the thoughts from the Holy Spirit become automatic. The only way we change our attitude, or our thinking, is to let the Holy Spirit control our thoughts. John 3:30-32,34 says “He must increase, but I must decrease. He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.” We must choose to let the Holy Spirit increase and then speak the words given by God through us. We change people by the words spoken by us through the Holy Spirit. The reason for that is the Holy Spirit will bring back what we said multiple times to people.
The Holy Spirit will change our lives, it knows the truth about us. There are no secrets the Holy Spirit does not know about us. It also knows what issues we need to deal with and when the proper time is for us to do that. Our trust in God through the Holy Spirit makes this life manageable with peace and joy. If we are missing peace and joy something is stealing that. That is why our relationship with the Holy Spirit is so important to us in finding out what is going on in our life. Sometimes our past needs to be brought to the present time to change our health or give us that peace and joy we have been missing. We should not be fearful of who shows up in our lives because whether God sent them, he will deal with them and not let them take us away from him. Matthew 18:11-14 says, and this is Jesus, speaking “For the Son of man is come to save that which is lost. How think ye? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leaves the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? And if so be that he finds it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninth and nine which went not astray. Even so, it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.” God will not let one of his be lost he will find this person.
I cannot speak enough about how important our relationship with the Holy Spirit is. The Holy Spirit knows but our relationship with him is up to us and us wanting to know Jesus and his ways. It is up to us what is important in our life, we choose. God Bless.
