The Impossible Dream—R Fritz

How do we think impossible things happen, it is by the grace of God. We are in situations where they could be called impossible by earthly standards. We cry out to God, and he hears our cries for help, if it needs to be taken care of immediately, he could send angels or he could send a human, or both. We need to believe that when we call out to God, he hears us and will respond. Psalms 91 should be read by every person, especially by those battling spiritual things but let us look at Psalms 91:9-12 says “Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation (dwelling place); There no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.” To those who have made the Lord our dwelling place he will take care of us with angels watching over us.

When the Holy Spirit needs us to be his mouthpiece or to be at a given location he asks and gets us to be there. I will admit there have been times I did want to go for many varied reasons, the Holy Spirit has a way you just end up going. Over twenty years I have seen people healed, people delivered, and many impossible things that people must not ever see. I saw these things when I first chose Jesus. I have an attitude where either I am 100 % in or not in at all. That is why I choose carefully what I am involved in. In Jesus’s case, I bought in right from the beginning and could not get enough. I found somebody I could trust in God and believe the things I saw. It was what I saw and the Holy Spirit telling me he would teach me all things.

The Holy Spirit has shown me that because of my fear most of my life, kept me out of trouble with people I was fearful of people and kept me right with God until I decided to choose Jesus and get rid of all the spiritual garbage collected in my past life. We choose to follow Jesus, one of the things that the Holy Spirit wanted was for me to be a leader something I did not want, I found my leader in Jesus. It was something the Holy Spirit wanted immediately and was pushing me to lead which was not what I wanted, telling me I could not drive from the back seat. I also saw the spiritual gifts I was given. The Holy Spirit eventually got his wish by me starting a chaplaincy program at work that was not on my own but God bringing in people to help me get started and become a chaplain and leader of chaplains. That was not my dream when I was growing up but finding Jesus was my impossible dream that changes lives and changes the place, we will end up eternally.

Some people were given different gifts as their vocation in life. That could be a pro football player, professional people, businesspeople, anybody. God gave each of us a will to succeed with our God-given gift. James 1:17 says “Every good gift is from above, and cometh down from the father of lights, with whom is no variableness (variation), neither shadow of turning.” People do not know that God was involved in their lives even before they knew him or people who wanted nothing to do with God. Most people believe it was all of them, but it did not matter whether we knew God. God knows our dreams, loves us, and wants us to become all God meant for us, we need to fight for our dreams. Our impossible dream was supplied in part by God and was involved in our lives whether we believe that or not.

God saw our life sometimes as a Father wanting us to succeed giving us advice but either of us not listening or just doing our own thing. It still happens for some of us who know God or the Holy Spirit. We want to live our lives our way without help, even though we keep making mistakes. We are listening to somebody but not the all-knowing God. God is waiting for us to speak up and ask for help. When I first started to know God, God would bring people to a Bible study I was at who were looking for a change in their life, some people came but would not do what was required as simple as sitting on a chair or just making a choice on simple things and walked away the way they came, remember God requires faith for things to happen so simple things are all we need to move God. Matthew 17:20 says and this is Jesus speaking And Jesus said unto them, “Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto the mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

We all were given some God-given talents or gifts with a dream that looks impossible with a will to succeed but for many our dream was stolen. Life comes along, bad decisions come, and fear comes but certain people have faith in themselves and have a mentality to not give up and to overcome also certain things fall in place to achieve their dream, some people call that luck. Luck does not exist it is God having a hand on our shoulders and in our lives or whispering in our ears to make good choices. Satan also whispers in our ears, trying to take us down that wrong road but these people are focused on their dream.

Our impossible dream given to us by Jesus when we chose him, something we do not deserve, is that Jesus took our sins to the cross giving us a way for us to have eternal life. With us receiving the Holy Spirit, our teacher will take us down the right path for us to receive eternal life forever. God Bless.
