When we Find Our Purpose, our Lives are Changed—R Fritz
Do we know what our purpose is? We will not know until we choose Jesus. What we have done in our life up to that point is what we wanted to do or how much money the job or position paid. I chose my job because of the money it paid and stayed for the same reason. What I did not understand was when I chose Jesus, that decision gave me my purpose. My purpose was established over twenty years ago. We do not know that until we find Jesus and have a relationship with Jesus. Before I found Jesus, I was like a ship without a rudder going in circles, not knowing what I wanted but still doing the same thing every day. I was hoping life had more for me because I was not being fulfilled and not happy. The thing that happens when we get to that point is we start to make decisions to change and find what else life has for us. God sees what is happening in our life and he is trying to move us in the direction we need to go to find him. Some people need more persuasion than others and need to slide downward until we choose the right path. God puts people in front us to help us to make the right decisions. I say all of this because every day God puts me in different situations using what I have planned for God’s purpose getting me where I need so I help God doing his business. It happens on God’s time where the Holy Spirit gets me moving, reminding me what I forgot so I go back home and then end up in the place God wants me to talk to somebody. That in itself is a miracle that most people do not see nor understand that happens to me many times.
Miracles happen every day, maybe we do not see them because we are not looking. I see them because I participate in the miracles, I am sent to be a part of them. I have seen many, and these situations where people are telling me what I saw was a miracle. Miracles happen for two reasons, (1) To prove Jesus’s existence when on earth as well as the Holy Spirit that followed. (2) Miracles show God’s character as his compassion also his love, grace, and mercy on us. The Holy Spirit sees our pain and felt it as Jesus in his death on the cross. Jesus’s death explains why God knows the things we go through because he went through them as Jesus. Psalm 77:14 says “Thou art the God that doeth wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people. For those who want to know God we will start to know him. I have seen miracles so much it became normal to me. I heard other people talk about what happened to them or their life reminded me of the things I saw that were really miracles. What we see or hear from other people adds to our faith, it does not make our faith, it defines it. We must understand what miracles, signs and wonders show that God is still here and cares. We should also know we need to have a relationship with God through the Holy Spirit, and he is who we should follow with the signs backing up the word. Mark 16:17-18,20 says “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.” If we follow Jesus and believe, evidence shall follow us with signs to show who we are. It is now shown through the Holy Spirit that lives in us. The Holy Spirit is what gives us the power to do things that are spiritual.
We need to look closer at ourselves to see what our purpose is. If we are unhappy with our life and it looks like we are not living a God given purpose, our life is slowly sliding away from us without the Holy Spirit being our rudder or our conscience to show us every day what the Holy Spirit has us do for God’s kingdom. People wonder about how long we live on this earth. If we have a God given purpose, we will stay on earth as long as God has a plan for us when that plan ends, we die. God is not a God of confusion. Everything has a plan, a time when things need to be done, God’s time. 1Corinthians 14:33 says “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” When we are confused Satan has us and our thoughts where he wants them. Peace is what God is, that is one of his characteristics that resides with the Holy Spirit in us. We do not understand in the Holy Spirit we have everything we need to live a good life inside us. We need to surrender to let the Holy Spirit change our circumstances where our feelings and our thoughts were in control of ourselves. The words I just wrote were the answer to our problems that are us in control of our life. Surrender to the Holy Spirit is a process where we change as we go, change is required so saying no to change can stop our answer and our peace. Trust of the Holy Spirit gives change a quicker result especially when we just decide to change immediately. I started to do that years ago because when we know God’s truth we will need to move on or stay dealing with the same issues over and over. We are our own worst enemy because we think we do not have to do something and get away with it. That does not work with God, he has reasons for us to do things and why they need to be done at a particular time or why we cannot move on until we do what is asked. The answers we need are within our control, but we refuse to do them, then we blame God for not answering us, it is all on us.
Our heart is what we will be judged on, if it is stoney or if fleshly, that is the measure we will be judged on. Ezekiel 36:26-27 says “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statues, and ye shall keep my judgements, and do them.” With our new heart we can change with a new heart then a new spirit, which being the Holy Spirit. We cannot and will not change without that new spirit.
When we know our purpose will direct our feet and the Holy Spirit will direct our words and actions. If we let the flesh direct our feet the rudder of our ship, we will be going in circles not knowing where to go. The Holy Spirit gives us purpose and direction, let us accept that direction where we will enter the kingdom of God and live a blessed life. God Bless.
