True Wisdom comes from Above—R Fritz

Wisdom comes from God, yes, we were given different amounts of wisdom as a human. That wisdom is man’s wisdom, God’s wisdom is all knowing. James 3:17-18 says “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.” This is certainly different than our wisdom. Peace plays a big part in those who have the Holy Spirit with those that are given differing amounts. Wisdom and peace are tied to God and the Holy Spirit as they are what we should be asking for, it is what we want. The wisdom we get God gives to overcome issues in our life, it is also for those who are helping the Holy Spirit in a mission.

Our human wisdom in God’s eyes is foolishness. We might not understand that, but we must understand who God is which means we must study and ask God for understanding. Why would God say that? It is because God wanted to show us, we cannot depend on ourselves for knowledge because we might be brilliant according to man but will not compare to God’s wisdom. We will not know that until we read the Bible, or somebody tells us. Up to that point we are deceived when we think we know so much more than everybody else where pride comes in, with God’s wisdom there is no pride. I have seen how God’s wisdom changes how we think because knowledge is power when used with God. 1 Corinthians 3:18-21 says “Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain (futile). Therefore, let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; Once we know God we have no reason to be ignorant or not knowing of what God has. It requires us to ask for wisdom to become a new person then become a teacher for God through the Holy Spirit where spiritual things are shared with those who ask.

The Spiritual knowledge and understanding we will not see without the Holy Spirit either in us or when it comes upon us. We all have a choice with the option to change at any time so what I have spiritually seen we can have the same or more with obedience. 1 Corinthians 2:9-16 says “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For whom hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” These verses speak of who we are with the Holy Spirit where spiritual things are spiritually discerned and have the mind of Christ which we understand the things of God. People who do not have the Holy Spirit will consider spiritual things as foolishness. Spiritual knowledge is being able to see completely around something like three-dimensional.

If we want or need wisdom, we should ask the Holy Spirit who will give to those that ask in faith, that being somebody who believes it will be given to them. James 1:5-7 says “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For him, that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.”  We have no reason to say I do not know when we can ask the Holy Spirit, and it shall be given to those who believe in the Holy Spirit. It is our responsibility to ask for wisdom and understanding.

It is using our wisdom with all our ability, when we get in situations that require the Holy Spirit we call out. I participated in trying to find somebody a couple of days ago. It required thinking and praying to find places where this person could be. It was remembering things said by this person then when getting close to finding somebody who would know this person’s relatives and where their property was located and eventually getting a phone call from one of the relatives. There was a belief that we would find this person, who was not believing in my wisdom but that of the Holy Spirit. We all should use all our options and our spiritual gifts given to us focusing on Jesus when we are in situations because Jesus is the peace when we are in the storm. God Bless.
