We Cannot help Anybody if Our Mental or Spiritual Health is not Right—R Fritz

We need to take care of ourselves before we help several people. We must remember that people that need help are looking for ways to help themselves, so they forget about what we are going through. It is a time where they are so focused on themselves and cannot see anything else. I was there over twenty years ago, so I understand. I could not even remember who was in a church I went to when there were only about six people there. It was the battles that are going on around me that took my focus on the big picture. That was when I first made my decision to follow Jesus. Satan was bombarding me with spiritual attacks when nobody had any answers except to fight in the spirit, which I asked “how do I do that” where nobody could answer at that time. Ephesians 6:12 says “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”  What I saw even in churches was spirits above the people flying around affecting what was going on in the church. We must have people in the churches praying in the spirit seeing what Satan is doing to change the outcome.

When we are in the spirit, the Holy Spirit fights our battle. The Holy Spirit might give us words to speak if we are surrendered. When we focus on Jesus, we can go through anything because when we are in the storm of life the Holy Spirit will give us peace to get through the issue we are dealing with. We have the power to overcome if we keep our focus on Jesus, but Satan takes our focus away from Jesus and on what we are going through. I see how Satan can change how we feel physically. I have seen people tell me they were to meet me one day then the next day tell me they are sick, I have seen this happen many times, sometimes to the same person. This tells me that these people are not focusing on Jesus, they are looking at how they feel. Satan knows what it will take to stop us from doing what God wants us to do. We must see the schemes of Satan. 2 Corinthians 2:11 says “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” We should know as Satan has tried the same things to stop us until we see them and overcome. If we are speaking to and listening to the Holy Spirit, we would know what is happening. We need to keep our heads in this battle. That must always be in our mind. That comes with our relationship with the Holy Spirit, people might say I say that all the time which I do. The reason is in what I see and what happens to me. Things that I was told days or weeks ago are brought back to me at the correct time, I am amazed when I remember things I should not remember. It happens many times where the Holy Spirit can use us to further his kingdom. Our head also must be on the same page as Jesus.

We gave our life to Jesus when we chose him, at least I did. That meant it was not just words, we chose Jesus with our actions and those actions show every day if God comes first in our life. It should be God, Family then Job. We can take God with us to work or any place we want, I did and started a chaplaincy program through God, which is what God through the Holy Spirit wanted me to do. We do not all have to do what God wanted me to do. The things I did anybody can do such as praying while I am walking down the aisles, it does not have to be aloud. What I saw was God sent me people to be chaplains. Because people were praying, what I saw was people’s lives were being changed before our eyes, more miracles than what I have seen in most churches. Our Lord and Savior goes where he has people willing to change the things the Lord wants changed, faith, and obedience to him.

We all can do our share of God’s work so few have to do all the work. Being so few brings more work to those who obey, and their spiritual and mental health is at risk. Mathew 22:14 says with Jesus’ speaking “For many are called, but few are chosen.” Jesus was speaking of the Parable of the Wedding Feast. Jesus spoke about the people who have chosen to be followers of Christ, those that come without his righteousness (the right clothing in this parable) or their sins forgiven will be sent to outer darkness or hell. Many will hear about Jesus, but few will respond, yes, we must respond. God must draw our hearts to him. The few that respond and hear Jesus are his true followers. Words alone mean nothing; our actions show who we are.

People want a one and done to be saved and enter the kingdom of God, in other words if I do this or say this I am saved. It is living a life of obedience to God through “the Holy Spirit” with faith and love that gives us eternal life. If we love God, have the Holy Spirit, and surrender our will the Holy Spirit is the love that lives in us and obedience to God will be automatic and people will see that Holy Spirit rising in us. John 14:12-17 says, and this is Jesus’ speaking “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do, because I go unto the Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it. If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” We can do greater works if we believe and love Jesus because the Spirit of truth (the Holy Spirit) lives in us.

We need to live a life of service with Jesus. It is praising him for what he does at least every day. It is being a person who does what he says. It is the love of the Holy Spirit that changes who we are and gets us through the problems of this world as we keep looking for our eternal resting place when our time here is over. God Bless.
