Let’s Look at our Past in Reflection then Our Future with Hope and Truth—R Fritz
We should reflect on our past to better understand what we need to change. Our future will not change without knowing what we should change. Many people have New Year resolutions which usually only last a few weeks before we give up. The problem was we gave up, one of two things happened either it was not that important, or we did not know how to win with what knowledge we had. It is easy to speak words, but actions require so much more because we really must mean what we say with something in our will to back it up. It requires us to give our will and trust to the Holy Spirit because we cannot do things ourselves. The Holy Spirit was given to us to teach us the ways of Jesus, to always be with us. Knowing what God did for us was done in love to change us so he would aways be with us in Spirit with love. We need to reflect on our past on what we need to change where God’s hope and truth show us the way. If we refuse to do things that will give us the ability to make our life better. We choose to keep doing the same things we always have because we know them and they are not so bad, some people call that insanity. That is fear that keeps us in mediocrity, this is where Satan shows us who he is.
Satan is the father of fear, this is how Satan stops us. Fear is a lie, and Satan is the father of lies. John 8:44-45 says, and this is Jesus’ speaking. “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.” We can be tricked by lies but the Holy Spirit is the Father of truth. I have an issuewith Satan and his lies because Satan’s lies affected my life. What I also found out that God used that fear to keep me safe. Fear affected my life for fifty years. As a student of overcoming fear the Holy Spirit gave me the answer in the Bible. That is where the answers are because we are fighting a spiritual battle. It is the lies that have put us in places we do not belong where fear takes over our life and stops us from making the right decisions. Fear brings our past into our present and then our future. It comes down to thoughts we have that we believe as truth as this is where the spiritual battle is fought in our mind. That is why the Holy Spirit needs to give us the words and the wisdom for us to know the truth. If we are still fighting in the flesh, we will never see what is going on as we begin to believe lies or fear after we keep hearing the same thing over time. The problem is we choose to believe thoughts where people we know say the same things. After knowing how Satan uses people and their words, I investigate what people tell me whether it is the news people speak out or biblically what people tell me because people pass on what other people say without checking information out first. We have a responsibility to only pass on things we know as truth otherwise we are helping Satan repeating his lies.
It gets back to our future which is hope and truth. If we believe in Jesus, we should see things that change because we have changed with a heart that was changed by the Holy Spirit, the Bible says fleshy which is flexible and spiritual because we can hear the Holy Spirit at that point. What I see is most people are unaware what to do when they start a relationship with God then the Holy Spirit. People do not mentor us because nobody mentored them. We need to ask a lot of questions then if not answered find somebody that can answer our questions, that is what I did until one day the Holy Spirit told me he would teach me. The Holy Spirit started answering questions one day when I was asking another person three questions, the first two were answered through my thoughts after they came out of mouth the third question was answered before it came out of my mouth. After that started my relationship with Holy Spirit whereas I speak to people the Holy Spirit is responding to the conversation or in the case when I write things the words are downloaded for me to type. I once said to the Holy Spirit that I did not think I was qualified to write about a certain subject and the Holy Spirit said to me “You are not writing, I am.” After that I do not give much thought about what to write or what to say. Mark 13:11 says and this is Jesus’ speaking “But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.” One of the things I was concerned about when I first knew the Holy Spirit was what to say before I got someplace for God, to a point I needed to know what to say before I got there. The Holy Spirit showed me one day by giving the message beforehand and when just seconds before I was to give it, took it away. I was standing in front of a person when I had no message and said to this person “just a second, I will pray, and God will give to me again.” Within a few seconds I was given the message again to give to this person. I learned a lesson that day that I will never forget that I trust the Holy Spirit because he will give us what we need. I was taught the hard way about the Holy Spirit, those that read this do not have to go through what I went through.
The Holy Spirit is our hope and truth, we need to trust him. I have had to learn the hard way on many things because we learn quick. The verse that changed my life was 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 and says (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” This verse is our lifeline, it still is for me because I have seen what speaking these words has done for me. We are spiritual beings where our thoughts and mind must get in line with Jesus immediately because God’s word says so. The hope, truth and power reside in the Bible and the Holy Spirit, use it to straighten out our life for our future no matter what our past was. God Bless.
