When we Procrastinate with God Somebody Else Can Pay the Price—R Fritz
I learned a long time ago when there is an expectation for me from God, I will do what is expected. We need to be where we are supposed to from there God will take over. It did not start that way because I needed to overcome fear. The point I want to make is somebody can be waiting on you to give the message God has for them or to do something that can give somebody hope when it looks like there is no hope, that hope can save their life. I have seen that happen many times. Romans 15:13 says “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” It is seeing what we believe cannot happen but does happen. Our expectations and beliefs become greater after we see what God can do. Pretty soon we believe we can trust God with our life, which is when God can use us in a mighty way. That is when we finally see our purpose and the reason we are on earth where we feel happy otherwise we will do what we like to do but until we get that plan we will not fulfill our life and our destiny which will let us try to find what will make us happy going from one thing to another trying to find what thing will do that and not finding it.
Yes, we have millions of people trying to find happiness, however we are looking in the wrong place. We are looking at our unhappiness through our fleshly eyes versus our spiritual eyes and this is where our problem starts. We do not realize we are trying to fix our unhappiness but do not know the reason we are unhappy. If we have the Holy Spirit living in us, we must look no further. That is where our strength is, it is also where our peace comes from because if we are not happy as storms come into our life, we can still have peace. That is what the Holy Spirit brings to our life. We have not taken the time to get to know what the Holy Spirit does for us as we have tried everything, we know to fix ourselves. We have not because we ask not. James 4:2-3 says “Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.” Either we do not ask, or we ask for the wrong thing. From what I have seen talking to people is what most people do not ask because somebody has told them we cannot ask for what they consider trivial things. God wants to hear from us if we ask for a need, when we ask for things, we do not necessarily need, that is a different story. Prayer is not a one-and-done, it is a list of things we need, our petition to God, it could be for us to ask for help for what we are battling whether it be illness or for family or friends which might call for spending more time. I have spent an hour or so when somebody I know is battling physically or mentally. We need to show God we are serious even though the Holy Spirit knows our hearts. People have no idea how to pray or how long, what I have learned is with God there is no minimum time in other words I never give God a minimum, I give all I have so he knows I am serious. Prayers can happen at any time or place. I prayed all the time at work walking down the aisle, nobody knew what I was doing except God, it was not aloud. Here is a tip when we cannot sleep, try praying you will fall asleep eventually. Praying is the conversation like we are talking to a friend, the words come.
When God or the Holy Spirit is in our battles we win, even though it does not look that way when God has it covered, and it becomes the miracle we cannot believe. I have seen many and we will if we are called to take to battle for God. This battle where fear does not enter our mind with Satan trying to stop us where a bombardment of words going on around us because Satan knows this person. This person is somebody Satan wanted dead, he tried to have his person killed in the hospital during Covid when he did not want us to succeed so we are focused on the person and Jesus because that is what I did. We must remember the Holy Spirit that lives in us is who is doing the work, we are alone to see what happens if we are surrendered. This person was removed from this place to another place for rehab where I was asked to spend time with this person one day. This is where Satan tried to turn up the bombardment of words on me because he did not want me to show up, I just told Satan to shut up and kept driving. After a week, this person was sent home. The Holy Spirit has revealed the details as well as what the spouse told me at the time as my part I already know. This goes to show God will find people he can count on to show up for the battle he needs to happen. This was the confidence God showed me to take the battle to the next level. People were praying for me throughout the battle. This person died about six months ago.
It does matter when the Holy Spirit speaks to us to go places, and he will make the reservations for us to meet with people. What I have not said was I did not want to go to the hospital, these were people I met at a bible study forty-five miles away so I did not know them or know what to say to them, that is what I felt it was not what I did because I trusted the Holy Spirit and they needed the help and were getting mentally beat-up by Satan. What we need to remember is if we do not go because we have something else, we want to do, this person does not get what they need. Now look at the story that happened a few years back where if I did not go this person could have died. If it were our friend or relative it would have mattered because it becomes personal. Jesus commands us to love our neighbor as ourselves. Mark 12:30-31 says, and this is Jesus speaking “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.” We have a decision to obey the Holy Spirit or to do what we want to do with consequences for somebody else. We need to make the right decision. Love your neighbor as yourself is what commands us. God Bless.
