When we Refuse to Treat people Right, We Need to Make it Right—R Fritz
Something that happens when people are not completely surrendered is our words are manipulated by our feelings. We speak how we feel without giving any thought to how somebody else would feel hearing our vengeful words. Proverbs 12:18 says “There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.” Our words always hit the mark exactly as we wanted them to do at that time. Our anger has fueled our words which have cut like a sword would and which have cut into that person’s soul. They can affect this person’s life. This all happened because we chose not to be completely surrendered. We think we can do better than God or we just do not trust God. We decide to believe in ourselves until we just cannot get the result we were looking for and it gets to be too much for us to handle.
Living with thinking we can control ourselves successfully and finding out God can control us better than we can is an eye-opener. Until we see God in action and from our experiences it is hard to believe in somebody, we cannot see him save us from the situation we got ourselves into. Our words have put us into the situations we find ourselves in. We have spoken into our situation with negative words because that is what we believe.
The positive words we speak also change lives because they are spoken with love. We all have the opportunity to really change somebody’s outlook on life. This is the right (righteous) thing to do. Too many people grew up in hostile environments and were always given a negative slant on somebody else’s life. We all have something to be thankful for when we look at any situation. You cannot say the devil made me do it. We all make our own choices. If you know what the devil does you cannot use him to justify what we do. In bringing up what the devil does is for us to know the schemes and tricks he uses to snare us in his traps. We have to be smarter than the devil.
Being smarter than the devil does not come from our wisdom it comes from being surrendered to the Holy Spirit. The devil or Satan cannot read our minds like God, he uses thoughts to try to get us to speak out about what he wants to know. This wisdom came from the Holy Spirit sharing with me years ago. The more we speak the more Satan knows what is going on in our life. Satan knows how to push our buttons in any situation to bring out how he wants us to act. Satan has had thousands of years to perfect how he operates. James 1:19-20 says “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.” This verse is what could save people from speaking about how they feel about somebody.
What God has shown me through the Holy Spirit is our opinions mean nothing to him. Opinions are between men for conversation. They are our thoughts formed from our feelings, hurts, and information collected by us. Wisdom and truth are what count with God. These two items come from God and have nothing to do with our thoughts. If we can get rid of our thoughts and have the Holy Spirit, God’s thoughts will be all that is left which will not be mixed with our thoughts which are manipulated by Satan. These would be pure righteous thoughts. Most people would say that would be impossible. Matthew 19:26 says, “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” The Holy Spirit just revealed to me this morning that the problem we have is we do not think big enough nor know what is possible.
We cannot know God’s world because we were not given that knowledge. What would you say if I said all you have to do is ask and be willing to do whatever God asks you to do? Would you be willing to do that? Clean our minds with the garbage we let stay there. Trust in God, fear, and the lies of Satan are removed from our minds. Getting God’s best, even with our best thoughts would at the bottom of what God could give us. Am I speaking of God’s truth, things I heard? The answer is “YES.” Doing God’s work is twenty-four hours, seven days a week whenever called upon. The is no vacation without God, but you can have a great vacation with him. We will know righteousness because we will be righteous and will treat people right.
If we stay the way we are compared to asking God for his best, we will never know what we could have. That is a choice that everybody that reads this will have to make. My choice is already made. Satan wants to take away God’s righteousness from us and trick us into believing that we should blame somebody else for the things that happen to us. Satan even wants us to blame God. When I see opportunities, especially with God, I tell people to go for them. Serving God is what we said when we gave our life to him. It was giving up the old life that we chose to do. It was committing to a righteous life, a life pleasing to God. That did not mean we had to completely change our life, it did mean we would follow Jesus and learn his ways. We need to be surrendered completely to the Holy Spirit to overcome our thoughts, stop incorrect actions with our words, and keep on changing as we go. We just need to ask God what to change and proceed immediately. It is a process with the Holy Spirit looking for who he can use for God’s kingdom. Pray and speak up to find out if God’s best is for you. God Bless.
