When God Brings Our Ministry to Us, We Need to See it—R Fritz
When we ask God to bring people to us or into our lives so we can be his mouthpiece, we should believe that will happen. Sometimes we do not see what God is doing right in front of our faces as we are busy doing our own things. We pray for things, and when they show up, we do not see them or are ready to deal with what God has given us. Remember, God answers our prayers on his time, whether tomorrow or weeks later. We must be prepared to deal with whatever God brings to us. The Holy Spirit will sometimes teach us what we need to know or say as we go. Matthew 21:21-22 says and this is Jesus speaking Jesus answered and said unto them, “Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” What we ask for, if we believe God is answered, and given as God gives us what we need. God does not always do exactly what we ask for, and we do not see it because it might be different. We sometimes forget our prayers have not been answered, as our prayers are not always answered immediately. We are surprised when we see things after not seeing anything, then after a time, we see what God has given us.
When I talk about ministry, I talk about God’s purpose for our lives. God will allow us to become who he wants us to be, and he will give us the tools to be successful. We need to listen,n then ask questions about what happens around us, if we do know how to act, because the Holy Spirit will give us the answers to our questions as we move to where we are required to be. At that point, more information will be given if we believe it because faith is required, as the Holy Spirit will provide what to say. Mark 13:11 says and this is Jesus speaking “But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.” When we are in situations where we are called or when the Holy Spirit sends us, we do not need to think or worry about what to say because the Holy Spirit will give us the words.
Needing to know what to say before God sent me happened to me years ago, as I needed to know the words before God sent me. In other words, I did not trust God to give me the words when I needed them at that point in my life. God proved to me I could trust him to give me what I needed as I was giving a message to somebody. We trust ourselves because that is what we have seen work and all we had at that time in our life. When we start to trust the Holy Spirit instead of ourselves, things will work out more than when we trusted ourselves. If we went back and looked at the times we did things without God, we would find out our trust in ourselves worked less than we thought. This week I had to get people together for a meeting and was thinking about what the easiest way was to get together with these people. I decided to drive to a meeting place where, to my amazement, some of the people I needed to talk to were there. The meeting with them took care of all the things I needed to do with answers for another meeting, which, if I leaned on myself, would have taken hours. When I let the Holy Spirit set up everything, the meeting took minutes. This leaves time for us to do other things we enjoy or things that we still need to do that day. There is a blessing that was handed to us because we listened to what or where the Holy Spirit was pointing for us to go.
The other story this week was where a person I know had a group of people who showed up and will stay with them. After a while, the Holy Spirit revealed these people were part of this person’s ministry. I called this person to tell them what the Holy Spirit said and discussed with them if they knew that. I then asked if this person was talking to these people, to where this person answered that they were talking with these people. Things happen for those who follow and serve Jesus. God is looking for people to step out to be invited to do God’s work. Matthew 22:14 says, and this is Jesus speaking, “For many are called, but few are chosen.” The parable was the verses 1-13 before this verse, which talk about the wedding feast, which begins with people invited to the feast, where everyone had an excuse for not coming. What this parable is talking about is we are invited with the gospel to choose Jesus, but we are too busy with our things and do not decide. Judgment eventually comes for those who hear the call but refuse to act and choose Jesus. The judgment is where people will go to a place where we will be cast into outer darkness with weeping and gnashing of teeth (Hell).
When we choose Jesus, we agree to follow Jesus and to do what he asks us to do. The Holy Spirit becomes our teacher and shows us how to obey his words and overcome our old sinful life. We become a new person with the Spirit to lead us in doing God’s work forever. Our walk with the Holy Spirit starts our ministry, where our Spirit gets excited to be God’s mouthpiece. God Bless.
