What does Love have to do with Everything We do—R Fritz

Love changes every situation into which we may get. In most situations, love will be the opportunity to change a bad situation because that is what most people need in their life and are missing. Respect is what they did not have in their life and was our need as human beings. God is love. 1 John 4:7-13 says “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God: and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given his Spirit. His Spirit is the Holy Spirit and if that love lives in us, we also love just like God and we love people. We learn God’s love, a love that does not fail. Love is the light that shines in us, and people see. It is what the world wants when they see us. It is the hope and love that people see and want because all they see is darkness around them.

Our experiences good or bad or how our childhood was, were the first example of how we see or know love. The first experiences especially in our early years as a child gave us the ability to love. We learn from seeing other people or our parents. This is man’s love that is dependent on somebody reciprocating that same love through their emotions.

The love that man knows can be manipulated by Satan. He wants to distort what was given to us by God. If our experiences were not happy Satan wants to exploit that and distort our perception of love or how we see the love and goes down our family tree for generations if not changed by God as the Holy Spirit. 1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” This shows Satan’s nature and character and how he feels about God’s creation (man). Satan wants us dead or at the least not being able to deal with life. Satan wants us to sin and to help us enjoy what we are doing and will encourage us telling us we deserve it. The next thing we know we are hooked on drugs or alcohol not knowing if we can stop the

dependence that has become part of our life. We have forgotten Jesus Christ and his righteousness and Jesus is our Savior. Satan has whispered in our ear and made us believe it was our decision alone. Satan is always there when we sin or especially when we are told a lie that we did not know was a lie. It could have affected us our whole life.

My own experiences in my life are what I am talking about that lies affected my life with the truth coming after sixty years. The thing that changed was my life and my circumstances and my relationship with Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. It was giving me the truth and the plan to defeat Satan’s lies. It is us still fighting the battle with hope and belief.

Love covers the multitude of our sins. The love was Jesus Christ covering sins through his death. That is what love does for us and the Holy Spirit teaching us and showing us when are thinking of doing something that God does want us to do. If we do not listen, The Holy Spirit may send somebody to put us back on track. James 5:19-20 says “Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death and shall hide a multitude of sins.” If we help somebody change their ways and get back on track, we have helped save a soul from eternal death and have helped this person with the same love that Jesus did with his death. It is showing compassion on somebody that has repented, getting their attention in love.

To overcome fear, it takes that same love applied by the Holy Spirit. I can personally speak for that because I overcome fear after fighting for fifty years. 1John 4: 16-18 says “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is Love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” The answer to overcoming fear is dwelling in love with the Holy Spirit being your teacher and using 2Corinthians 10:4-5 where we bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Jesus Christ. The answer for me is when fear comes and the feeling of torment that shows up with fear. That feeling of torment the Holy Spirit shows me acknowledges fear is present.

As you can see “Love” conquers all. That love from God is called an unconditional love that is perfected, one that does not see wrongs, only goodwill. Something that is easy for a little child but hard for an adult where our feelings have been hurt by people in many ways and our ability to forgive and forget is not easily attained. That love only comes from God. His grace, mercy, and love amplify his character. It is hard to understand with our understanding and can only be shown through the Holy Spirit. That happiness only comes through the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 says “Love is patient, is kind, love does not envy, love does not boast, is not puffed up, does not behave indecently, does not seek its own, is not provoked, reckons not the evil, does not rejoice over the unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth, it covers all, believes all, expects all, endures all. Love “never” fails. And whether there be prophecies, they shall be inactive; or tongues, they shall cease; or knowledge, it shall be inactive. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part shall be inactive. This last sentence says it all. When that which is “perfect” comes everything that is not stopped. That is why perfect love covers all and everything else stops in its tracks.

We try to change people without applying love first. We believe they are wrong, so we need to tell them. You will probably waste your time. When we apply love and come beside them, they will listen when they see you as sincere and loving. Perfect love (Jesus Christ as the Holy Spirit) changes and stops the other feelings and bad thoughts when we apply perfect love first. That is the Holy Spirit in you that reacts in perfect love. God Bless.
