God wants to Guard our Backs—R Fritz

We should allow and love God for guarding our back. We cannot see our back, so God through the Holy Spirit gives us protection. Spiritually there are a lot of things going on we do not see. The Holy Spirit lets us see spiritual things when we need to do what is needed to accomplish what the Holy Spirit has planned. They come as pictures, which is how God relays ideas to us. God also whispers in our ears. It is us paying attention and hearing what is being said. I saw some papers on the counter where I was going to move them to somebody’s desk. With that thought brought the words “Do not move those papers.” The words I heard were from the Holy Spirit. It was those light words I heard even for a guy that has hearing issues. John 10:27-28 says, and this is Jesus’ speaking “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand,” We hear the Holy Spirit because we know the Holy Spirit’s voice and because we follow we will get eternal life. The amazing thing about these verses is Jesus says he knows the people that hear his voice and follow him. It is the love that Jesus shows that should change our view of life.

God sees what is going on in our life. Our thoughts and prayers God hears and answers at the right time, whether it is right away or a day or week later. Some of the prayers or questions I needed answers were answered when I was looking up other things in the Bible. It is always about us doing something to change our own situation such as praying, spending time studying about God and who he is. The most important thing I did was to study and find out who God was and his character. We might ask why I would do that? It was to find out all I could about God to know God so I could not be fooled by people or Satan. When I see or hear things I can decide if they are from God because of my study. God’s ways and the words he gave us have been watered down or changed to be unlike what God meant for them to mean. Man changed God’s meaning for his words. Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” No matter what we think God’s words will do or what God meant for them to do, they do not change. We on the other hand have not studied what God meant as we have not questioned God after studying words such as grace, we have taken our meaning as gospel. We believe people around us to know things who also believe people around them, we think it is truth because many people have the same belief, so it must be truth. It is time for us to get the truth from people who are studying to find the truth, better yet ask the Holy Spirit ourselves. That is what I do and love talking to people who also are studying subjects in the Bible. There are no opinions, just truth.

God’s word and truth shall be his cover. Psalm 91:2-4 says “I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely, he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler and from the noisome (deadly) pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.” God’s truth shall be our shield, not our own truth. That is why it is so important to get God’s truth. God’s words are alive that is why they will not return void. The words in the Bible are all alive because they were spoken to somebody to be written by the help of the Holy Spirit. God told me over three years ago that I was not writing this he was, I am putting his words to print. I also learned so much from being the one to put God’s words to print.

Our prayers are what set in motion our needs as well as other people’s needs to God. We are spiritual beings and God is a Spirit and we must worship him in spirit. John 4:24 says and this is Jesus’ speaking “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” We must understand as a Spirit God is different than humans. God has access to everything on Earth including everything about us. God can change anything but chooses to let us live our life because of freewill. God has a plan for each one of us. We live our life as we see fit, good or bad, we choose. We can live with God and his rules or live life with man’s rules or no rules with consequences. These choices give us the opportunity for God to help us when we choose him. When we choose him and surrender, we get all of God’s benefits, God accepts us as we are when we make that decision. We all come with baggage, baggage that needs to be dealt with to make our walk with Jesus easier and we can overcome our past to live a good life with Jesus for Jesus. I have been there and for me it has been over twenty years of change to get where I am now. It is a path where we all move at our own pace. The Holy case the Holy Spirit pushed me harder to change. The Holy Spirit pushed me physically a few times. The thing I learned was God knows what is best for me, sometimes I was not ready for things he wanted done.

After a while I learned to go with what God wanted me to do with peace. It was me seeing the things going on in people’s lives and being concerned and seeing God doing things that gave me peace through some rough times. Peace came from the Holy Spirit because that was the Holy Spirit telling us he had us covered all three hundred sixty degrees around us. In troubling times, the Holy Spirit takes us by the hand through our issues if we let him. Again, it is the peace that shows us he has us covered; our baggage is what questions if we are making the right decision. Satan sticks his nose in our business through our thoughts. Here is where my study on God and Satan comes into play. Now we understand why I spent my time studying God and Satan and understanding their character. I have seen Satan give me verses that were missing words, so I knew who was speaking to me as the Holy Spirit reminded me what the verses said.

We need to trust the Holy Spirit even if we do not understand. Peace is what shows us he has us covered; we need to pray for that peace that is beyond our understanding that gives that trust, peace from the Holy Spirit that lives in us. John 14:27 says and this is Jesus’ speaking “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”  We have everything we need in the Holy Spirit; we just need to ask because the Holy Spirit resides in us. Let God’s peace give you the trust to follow Jesus. God Bless.
