The Whole Truth and Nothing but the Truth, so help me God—R. Fritz
This is part of the oath said when you are a witness in a courtroom. You are saying everything you say is truthful. It is supposed to invoke God’s name and get your conscience to tell the truth. It means nothing to some people unless there is a penalty. If you look at the history of this oath, without a penalty, people especially those that do not have a Godly presence in their life, there is no body or nothing to influence them to know right from wrong.
Our conscience and our ability to see right from wrong started with God. He instilled his righteousness in Adam in the garden of Eden. Sin showed up through Satan and changed our nature and our conscience. It taught us to doubt God and to disobey God. These were decisions made that changed our conscience and ability to know right from wrong. People have different views of right and wrong through your thought process, experiences, and others. It starts with our parents teaching us and giving us values. James 4:17 says “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” When you know the right thing to do, you become responsible for doing it. If you choose to not do it, it is sin.
When Adam sinned, God had a plan to overcome sin through Jesus taking our sins to the cross. After Jesus’s death, The Holy Spirit was given to those who choose to have a relationship with Jesus. That relationship changes when we trust in Jesus and let the Holy Spirit operate in us. The Holy Spirit uses our words and our actions. If we trust in Jesus, the Holy Spirit and our words and actions are the same. What I’m trying to show you is the Holy Spirit can control everything you do, say, and write. Matthew 10:19-20 says, and this is Jesus, speaking “But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.” Jesus is saying to do not worry or give it one thought what you will say because the Holy Spirit will speak what needs to be said. I have seen this many times with myself, this is the Holy Spirit and you becoming “one Spirit.” This happens if we are humble and obedient.
When you have the Holy Spirit, you will notice words that are not necessarily your words come out of your mouth. I sometimes see the words before I speak them. If you trust in the Holy Spirit, you learn to speak what comes to you, it is that trust that God can use us for his glory. We just have to, what I call step back and let God do his thing. It requires complete trust.
Satin wants you to believe, it is the flesh speaking not the Holy Spirit. When our thoughts come trying to convince us of this, we tell Satin to “Shut Up.” One thing we need to understand is Satin cannot read our mind. He tries to do things to get us to tell or show him what we are thinking or plan on doing. He puts thoughts in our mind or gets us to act and keeps giving the thoughts he wants to manipulate us. The Holy Spirit gives us the ability to catch Satin and his manipulation. We then need to tell Satin with force you will not let him tell or show you anything. Matthew 11:12 says and this is Jesus, speaking “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” The kingdom of heaven (God’s elect or followers) and his word has suffered, and it is time for his followers to take on Satin and his followers with zeal in the Spirit.
We are too passive sometimes. When I found many years ago that Satin was afflicting me, I was angry and wanted to knock his block off. People told me I needed to fight in the spirit, they did not tell me how to do that. God showed me how to fight in the spirit. They were verses in the Bible. We speak them out with words given by the Holy Spirit, and we speak with a forceful nature. When we speak to Satin with force, he has to listen and obey using the name of “Jesus.” Luke 10:17-20 says, and this is Jesus speaking after the apostles “And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, “I beheld Satin as lighting fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” The Holy Spirit gives us the ability and power to use the name of “Jesus” and have power over Satan. We think Satan is some big power.
Satan’s battlefield is your mind. We have to guard our mind from him having a base of operation. The Holy Spirit gives you the ability to see what Satan is trying to do. This is why we need to be one spirit with the Holy Spirit. To some people that might seem like they cannot overcome the things I talk about or the things in their life. There is only one way and that is with having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I did not overcome with my knowledge it was only through Jesus Christ and receiving the Holy Spirit.
I see too many people trying to defeat and overcome issues in their life. We need to reach out to people around us who can help us to be the person who Jesus Christ wanted us to be. We do not have to go through the issues we have by ourselves. I pray for wisdom and come against the spirit of pride so people will be able to speak out and tell friends and family they need help! God Bless.
