God’s Truth Will Set You Free—R Fritz

God’s truth is different from the truth of this world because God’s truth will have consequences. These consequences affect your eternal place and whether you are blessed or how this life works for you. Sometimes we think we know the truth, but our truth is just our opinion which is suspect. God’s truth is always true and correct. There is no question because the written word in the Bible is God. John 1:1,14 says “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” This statement is clear. God’s Word is truth and Word became flesh as Jesus Christ and was among men. Jesus taught men the Word and they saw God’s character through Jesus.

We can believe in the Word as Jesus Christ because it has our answers. You might think the Bible was written over two thousand years ago, how can it have the answers for the things going on now? Ecclesiastes 1:9 says, “The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” This is a verse to ponder if what we are doing is something that matters as far as our life with Jesus is concerned or are we doing things that are meaningless and really do not matter. The thing that is not new is the behavior, culture, and sinful nature of people. The Bible might not have the answers for your computer, but it has all the answers for dealing with people and how our character has to be like Jesus. This is what we are supposed to be showing the world through our life.

Wisdom is what gave people the knowledge to do and invent things in the future. God had his hand in all of the future and the inventions that come about. What is special is the Holy Spirit gives you the ability to fix things and gives you answers about the things that people years ago did not understand or the tools we have been even possible. Most people have not sat down and thought about or had that relationship with the Holy Spirit to speak to us and actually teach us and be with us to remind us what was discussed. Many times, the Holy Spirit speaks to me for an hour early in the morning and when I fall back asleep, I forget what the Holy Spirit said to me. I learned that the knowledge will be remembered as people are speaking to me. It comes back to me as subjects are discussed. God’s

wisdom is different because God knows all. We give ourselves too much credit for our knowledge and little to our Father in heaven. 1 Corinthians 3:19-20 says “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, the Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.” Our wisdom and ways do not compare with God’s, nor were they meant to. What we accomplish in life has to do with our decisions with knowledge and our ability to overcome.

God’s love and his hand is in our life, even those that do not know God. Yes, even those that are against God or consider God their enemy. God already knows our story and what we are going to do in our life. He is just waiting for us to be who we were meant to be. Ephesians 1:11 says “In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated (predetermined) according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:” Our outcome is predetermined by God after his own will. Knowing that gives me the desire to see who I was meant to be as well as see all God has for me.

My hope is that is our desire. If we are going to live life for ourselves and give God what is left over, good luck. Our actions show God if love is really in our hearts. There is no hiding from God or our emotions, wants or needs or what we want out of life, he sees it all. Our actions show if we love God and if we love him, we will put him first in our life. When you understand the principle of putting God first, you can bless your family and the people you work with each day.

God being first is every day, even if you have to get up early before work. It is going out of our way to put God through the Holy Spirit first. You might think you are not going to do that and that is okay. I chose to honor God that way five workdays a week plus weekends until I retired. At one time I decided to give God time at the end of the day but that did not seem to work for me because I was tired and fell asleep sometimes. When I gave the Holy Spirit my first hour of the day, my best, when my eyes opened and sometimes when my eyes were not open, but I was awake, the Holy Spirit was speaking to me about my day ahead. This is the truth you did not think about or know. Do you now understand why my relationship with God is superior to most people?

I treat God like family, I give him my best time, and he gives me his wisdom and his understanding. God knows when we believe and are all in and if we trust him by

our actions which are when we obey him and are willing to study about God through the Holy Spirit. We have to make that decision ourselves each and every day.

Truth does not always show up just because we are looking. It shows up because we are looking and because we are ready for the truth. People say they are ready for the truth, but the truth is many times different than what we are doing or what we believe. John 8:32 says and this is Jesus, speaking “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Truth stretches our understanding. It also stretches our relationship with the Holy Spirit. That is what truth does. The question that needs to be asked is are you ready for “GOD’S TRUTH” because it shall make you free. God Bless.
