What do We Believe is God’s Truth—R Fritz
This is a question that would have different answers for different people. That is because we believe we know what God’s truth is. We should believe and agree that the Bible and what the Holy Spirit says is God’s truth. What we think or our opinions are not God’s truth. Opinions are based on what we know or what somebody has told us, we have not evaluated our opinion on anything we know for sure. I have people telling me they believe Wikipedia is truth and why they believe that. It is still an opinion that maybe we believe but not God’s truth. What we know must line up with the Bible, that we can trust because God’s word was God. John 1:1-4 says “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” These verses are God’s truth that God is the Word. That is why I have seen God’s word moving across my face as ticker tape on the stock market. God’s word is alive because it is God. The Word can come off the page because it is alive, I have seen it.
What we see with our eyes can be counterfeited. All we must do is watch a magician and what is said is the hand is quicker than the eye. Satan has always wanted to be God and that is why Satan was kicked out of heaven because of his lies and deception. Because Satan will never be God and his destiny is already known where he will end up, he wants all of God’s creations to end up in the same place as him. He is a counterfeiter of God, but does he know God’s ways or thoughts. That is our problem that Satan was with God, but he still does not know all of God’s thoughts and ways because God changes how he does things. Satan counterfeits because he knows the Bible, but he gives Bible verses that are not true with what the Bible says and changes words with us not knowing God’s word. Our secret weapon is the Holy Spirit which lets us know when it is Satan that is lying about what the Bible says.
Discernment is a tool God has given us. Spiritual discernment is seeing what most people cannot. It is seeing good from evil, truth from lies. 1 Corinthians 2:14-15 says “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.” The spiritual man was given the ability to recognize spiritual things by our spiritual senses, otherwise man uses his wisdom. My spiritual abilities were given by God but in my case, I have asked the Holy Spirit to sharpen my discernment as well as all my God given gifts. We all should ask for more of God’s wisdom through our spiritual gifts to fight the battles we are going through or to be able to accomplish what God wants us to do for God’s kingdom. Most people will not see or know the spiritual battles that happen around us. They are fought by angels or people who are praying or those the Holy Spirit sends to accomplish God’s will. We can choose to be that person that is willing to give our all. That choice will change our life forever if we are to be one of God’s warriors the battle is upon us.
We must decide what is God’s truth. The spirits of this world can and will try to manipulate our thoughts and who God wants us to be. People need to know that what they believe or what somebody tells them is not necessarily truth because spirits are manipulating us physically as well as mentally. This is a truth that people refuse to believe. The things we do not see are the things that affect us. Fear is one spirit that affects many people. It is one of the spirits that affects and paralyzes people from what God needs done in their life. It even stops people from doing what they should do their whole life. I was afraid in my life for my first fifty years. I overcame it through the Holy Spirit. I learned it has a feeling that follows it. 1 John 4:18 says “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.”The perfect love is God, it is God’s word that conquers fear. Torment was the feeling I learned through the Holy Spirit, I felt it but did not know what that feeling was at first until shown.
We can only find God’s truth from God. Spiritual truth is taught by the Holy Spirit and was sent to teach us all things. So why are so many people uninformed or lacking knowledge about spiritual things? Fear is the biggest reason. The lack of knowledge or not wanting the truth is the second reason. One thing I learned was I had to overcome fear, but fear comes because of a lack of knowledge. When I did not understand something, I asked questions of people and especially the Holy Spirit. At one time I was fearful of the Holy Spirit because of my lack of knowledge. What I did was read every verse in the Bible that talked about the Holy Spirit, then the Holy Spirit showed me who he was and what he could do. Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”
We should say to ourselves “the end of not knowing the truth.” God’s wisdom will not come if we do not want it. We can pray for things but if our actions do not show what we want or need then they will not come. The reason I can write this blog is because it belongs to God, and he gives me everything to write and then it is posted. I have also made comments to the Holy Spirit that I am not worthy to write this blog. The Holy Spirit answered me saying “I am not writing it, he is.” I still must look up the verses the Holy Spirit wants. We must do the work without expecting somebody else to do the work for us. This is where our relationship with the Holy Spirit grows. It is now our decision whether we want to find the truth. God Bless.
