When God has Us Help Somebody it is not about Us it is about the Other Person—R Fritz

Over the last six months, I have had three different situations where the Holy Spirit has me help different people. All three situations have not turned out as expected. I started to look at what was happening and thought it was my fault, so I started to ask the Holy Spirit why the situation had not changed as I was doing what was asked of me. The Holy Spirit told me what my job was. When things were not moving in the right direction, we decided to do what we thought would work. I spent many hours praying, and I did not get any more of what I was supposed to do. What I found was the other person was in charge, I was the helper. That is what God wanted done.

We must understand the Holy Spirit is in control. The next thing is first we must slowly get started on what we are trying to accomplish. What I saw was the Holy Spirit opened a door but then it would close. Another door would open then it would close. I started working harder but nothing changed as this was not for me. There was more praying and finally looking at what was happening and seeing it was not working what we were doing. Sometimes we need to step back and look at everything. It gets back to me stepping back and the other person stepping up. That is what is supposed to happen. The Holy Spirit is supposed to teach the other person but is the other person ready to take over a leadership position? The other person needs to learn and ask the Holy Spirit “What do I need to do.” Giving somebody an opportunity to win is the best learning experience. Sometimes when I step back people choose to step back also. People need to have that relationship with the Holy Spirit and listen to what is expected of them.

God sends us people to help us. Our prayers are answered we are not aware that the Holy Spirit has answered us. I have seen people tell me “I am not going to listen to you, I am waiting on God.” Well, they have heard from God and the answer is standing right in front of them and they do not see it. I do not argue with them, they lost out. People need to understand God uses everything around us to answer us. We are not looking for an answer. We are too busy to take the time to get to know our God and how he does things. Ever since the flood God has used animals to speak to us or he had a purpose for them. Numbers 22:27-28, 31 says “And the ass saw the angel of the Lord, she fell under Balaam: and Balaam’s anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff. And the LORD

opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, what have I done to thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times? Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head and fell flat on his face.” If God wants to speak to us, he will use whatever he wants in this case he used an ass (donkey) to speak to Balaam. If he used animals, he could certainly use people which he has forever. He can even use people who do not know God. I have had messages from people who do not know God.

The Holy Spirit lives in us. That is the most important thing to remember because the answer to all our problems resides in ourselves. Our relationship with the Holy Spirit is everything and sometimes our patience or our lack of it puts us ahead of where we are supposed to be. We want to get going but we need to listen for the timing when we do things belongs with God. Ever think about the times when we went someplace where we met somebody, or we were thinking about somebody, and we saw them when we got our divine appointment? I have seen it happen many times. It is interesting how many times I leave my house and am reminded that I forgot different things sometimes before I leave and sometimes, I get down the road and come back. This changes the time when I get to where I am going. We can now, understand why I see God’s time or God’s timing happening. We must be in tune with the Holy Spirit which comes down to be surrendered and sold out. It comes down to our decision to the question “Who am I going to serve every day?” We answer that question not by our thoughts and words but by our actions. That speaks for us in what is in our hearts. Matthew 12:34-35 says, and this is Jesus speaking “O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.” We cannot hide our true feelings if we open our mouths or act on our thoughts.

Our day or how we feel depends on us, but we must understand that what happens in the Spirit which we cannot see in most cases affects us and is really what has affected us. That is why we need to pray because spiritual things have attacked us in our thoughts or physically in our head or mind. This is not taught, or people do not want to hear this because people are fearful of things we do not know. This is God’s truth which lives in us. The Holy Spirit is what fights our battles in the Spirit. We cannot do it ourselves. That is why I can see certain things in the Spirit that others cannot. Galatians 5:16-18 says “This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye are led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.” God’s truth is if we walk in the Spirit, we are no longer under the law but under the freedom of the Holy Spirit which lives in us and teaches us.

We are supposed to love our neighbor as ourselves which is why we help the people who are sent for us to nurture for the Holy Spirit. Our help changes lives. Let us be a life changer. God Bless.
