We should Never Accept Disease or Sickness as our Own—R Fritz

I hear people tell me about their diabetes or their back pain. When I hear that I feel why would somebody classify disease or something that happened now to be part of them. God did not give that disease or issue. There are generational curses we have spoken through our words. When we see something, we think we must speak it out without thinking about the consequences or how it will affect us. I have seen it in family where there is a claim about a medical issue which happened to myself, the difference was I took that issue to a doctor who said I needed surgery, I told them my God would take care of that physical issue. I spent my time praying and went to a few churches looking for God where this evangelist told me the issue I had, and I would be healed which after this person prayed, I felt different but not in perfect shape. I kept praying and believing that I was healed and a few days later my issues went away. Faith is what God rewards and that is what happened. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Our faith is what makes us who we are, with more faith added as we go. I believed the stories I heard about what God did for people. One thing I saw was God honored my faith even if the story was not all truth.

Faith is what God rewards with those that seek him. I believe things will happen no matter what it is. They do not always go my way, but I still believe good things will happen. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” We should always look for evidence of the things we are looking for because they are around us. It is our belief level that changes with our faith taking us closer to God if we seek him. Faith is what changes how God sees us. 2 Corinthians 5:7 says “(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)” It is our attitude which flows from our heart that gives us our ability and the want to change.

Our words can chase disease away especially if it is a spiritual disease, it also can bring disease on to us with the wrong attitude. I have had a sore back and believed it was not physical and did some physical things to find out it was a spiritual attack. Prayers and faith are the two things that change our situation. Faith requires an action; prayer is an action that shows that we are serious about something. Battles wear us down, that is why we need to let God to battle for us, as we need to drop our issues before him for God to take our battle. When I say prayer, this is not a one and done prayer. This is praying without ceasing, this is praying like we mean it because we should. The words we speak outside of our prayers should be positive, looking for answers for our issues as well as others. We should learn to be prayer warriors. People speak things into our lives which are not good. I have seen many prayers answered and am asked to pray for people. We need people to pray with an attitude that our prayers will be answered, because I believe our prayers will be answered and answers should be for each of us and not just me. I have been involved in a prayer for somebody that took a year to happen which did not look like it would happen, this is where faith comes in with my prayers because we should constantly seek God.

Disease and sickness are sometimes spiritual. They feel the same, but spirits of this world have afflicted us causing us to feel a disease which is real, the cause and affect should be dealt with prayer where normal ways do not give a good result. Matthew 8:13-16 says with Jesus’ speaking “And Jesus said unto the centurion, “Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee.” And his servant was healed at the selfsame hour. And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever. And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them. When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:” Healings and spirits are not a thing of the past, they happen all the time except they are not broadcast in the news. Most people are not able to see healing and spirits, they are around us we just do not notice them. They are the stories told by people that have seen spiritual things happen. I see both and have been involved with both, one of my spiritual gifts is discerning spirits.

Jesus left to take our sins to the cross and the Holy Spirit was sent to indwell in us and be part of us with us asking the Holy Spirit to be part of us. The Holy Spirit comes upon other people to help them or to bring truth without indwelling. Romans 8:8-11,13 says “So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. For if we live after the flesh, ye shall die but if ye through the Spirit do mortify (put to death) the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” Those with the Holy Spirit indwelled shall live, those in the flesh shall die and are none of his. That is truth that should be passed on to those that do not know Jesus.

Disease and sickness need prayer and our relationship with the Holy Spirit influences us. Our everyday choices and our relationship with the Holy Spirit give options where the Holy Spirit advises us what things we need to do. Yes, some things a doctor can take care of with a good result. Other times prayer and our relationship with the Holy Spirit give us the place to go whether it be a doctor or somebody else. Our first choice should be God who has all the answers, then he will tell us our options. God Bless.
