When Change Comes, also Doubt Wants to Come Along—R Fritz

Change brings a lot of other things along with it. Change brings feelings into our decisions then fear wants to creep in. When fear comes in doubt comes with it. We do not believe in ourself and Satan gets us to forget what God can do for us. We just need to get our head in the game. Our past failures or issues we have gone through should help our belief. Satan comes in to get us to focus on the change that is coming and telling us we cannot overcome our issues or personality traits we have been lacking or have been working on.

Our attitude or how we see things are what gives us the ability to see past our shortcomings. Our attitude does not necessarily belong to us because we forget the Holy Spirit is part of our attitude as well as what helps us and becomes us if we surrender more each day. John 3:30 says “He must increase, but I must decrease.” More of Jesus or the Holy Spirit and less of us and our spirit. We need to surrender so the Holy Spirit guides us. When we give into the Holy Spirit, we will accomplish whatever the Holy Spirit wants us to do. If we are not tied to the Holy Spirit, we are doing everything we do in the flesh on our own. We have dug in and are against any change meaning we are doing what we have always done.

That mentality breeds doubt and our belief stays the same because of where we chose to stay mentally. We are not growing because we are not listening to the Holy Spirit. We have to keep going through things until God gives us greater understanding, without that understanding we live with what we have. More understanding is not automatic, it comes from asking and showing God, we need it. The understanding comes because we need it doing God’s work. Everybody does not get or have the same understanding which also gives us different understanding of the Bible. Doubt comes because of lack of confidence in God and lack of faith. Doubt comes when we use our reasoning and our wisdom to understand what we see, that is called operating in the flesh. Doubt happens when Satan questions our faith and our belief and we eventually accept those thoughts. We should not give into those thoughts if we reading or studying the Bible. Matthew 21:21-22 says and this is Jesus, speaking “Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, if ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” Our words are powerful if spoken in the Spirit and if we believe what we are asking for in prayer, it shall happen. This is not asking to be rich or a new car. These are needs we are asking for.

When we have faith, we are spiritual and look at things through our spiritual eyes otherwise we see with our natural eyes. Satan wants us to look at things in the flesh because as he gets us to doubt then he also gets us to worry. These are Satan’s tricks from his playbook. When we are in the Spirit with the Holy Spirit in control Satan has no control over us or our thoughts. The playbook also includes using the people around us who are thinking and acting in the flesh to also speak the words that add to our doubt. It is vital to either walk away from these people and get around positive people. It also requires us read or study the Bible.

We cannot forget to talk to the Holy Spirit as we are battling through doubt and fear. James 1:5-7 says “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to “all” men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.” When we talk to the Holy Spirit and do not believe God is going to give what we need to us, why would we ask because life will toss us around being wishy washy and not believing in God. Our relationship should always be taken to another level. It is us spiritually seeing what is being done through the Holy Spirit and reacting against what is being done whether Satan is using somebody against us or trying to control our thoughts. It is us that has to say enough then react to overcome what is happening in our life.

We might think we are good where we are because we do not want to change but that is not where we should be. If we think we are good because everything in our life is good because we do not have any problems we need to look at what are we doing for God because it probably is very little, and we are not a problem for Satan. If we are doing things for God’s kingdom and obeying God, Satan will push to disrupt our life and try to stop us from completing what God has as our mission.

What I am saying is every one of us needs to move on and change what we do. Staying where we are is exactly where Satan wants us to be. Looking for truth is what God wants for our life. Nobody said life was going to be easy to follow Jesus, matter of fact seeking truth instead staying in the status quo could cost us some things in the short term. Long term our goal should be to be with Jesus and means we will do whatever it takes to get there. John 16:33 says and this is Jesus, speaking “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Let truth take us where we need to be knowing in the end peace will prevail. God Bless.
