We Must Take Every day by Itself as We do not necessarily get Tomorrow—R Fritz
Every day has its ups and downs but we do not get to do any day over. If we wake up, we get that day but we do not know if we will get another because God does not give any more than the present. Every day should bring out our best and that is all God can ask. James 4:14 says “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, then vanisheth away.” Our life is just vapor or here for a short period of time in respect to time itself. We think we can have a long life when we compare it to other people. We do not know when our day will come or when we will die. Here today, gone tomorrow.
We can prepare for that day but we need to make every day count. We decide every day what we will do, yes sometimes our circumstances decide our life for a short period of time but our wisdom or God’s wisdom should change the road we take. Always following Jesus through the Holy Spirit will give us the best outcome. We choose to live our life our way or follow the Holy Spirit. We cannot go on what we think is righteous or what we think God would want us to do because it is our thoughts and does not compare to God’s thoughts unless we are surrendered to the Holy Spirit and working on surrendering everything in our life including all our thoughts and our feelings. Romans 3:10 says “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:” We by ourselves will never be righteous. It comes from the Holy Spirit and faith.
Too many people think their wisdom is sufficient. It might be sufficient for earthly things but not for spiritual things. What most people do not understand is the wisdom of God through the Holy Spirit can remind you of appointments or the items we are forgetting “before” we leave our house. The Holy Spirit gives the words to speak in any situation we get into. That is the surrender that happens and the results come because of our obedience. 1Corinthians 3:18-20 says “Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.” When we trust in ourselves all our life it is hard to trust in God without getting to know him. When we get to know God, we will start to trust God.
It is putting God first in our life which is what God has ordained in our life, then our family. Deuteronomy 6:5-6 says “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:” These words are commanded of us, as God is first. Love is who God is and to totally love God is to obey with all our hearts. Next in order is our spouse, then family, then the job, or anything else. If we put our spouse first it is against what God asks us to love him with all our heart, soul, and might. When we put somebody or something before the true God that person or thing becomes our god and tells the true God we are going to live our life without loving God fully. Our actions will always show where our heart resides whether with God or with something else. What we might not understand is if God is first, God will help us to deal with all the other issues we have in our life including our family. God sees what is going on and our prayers will be answered.
Our issue that keeps coming up is us not trusting God. We wait to get God involved in our problem when we have tried everything we know and when nothing works, we then come to God expecting a miracle. If we believe God is our best weapon against what is happening in our life why would we leave God to last when God should be used first? I have people tell me they were taught not to ask for the little problems in our life. That is a lie, God loves us and wants to help us deal with life. That is why Jesus left so the Holy Spirit could teach us “all” things.
Our answer to our problems is in us, the Holy Spirit. We are looking for the answer to what we are going through and we are asking everybody we know what they think and the answer is in us. We just have to ask that question to the Holy Spirit and work on our relationship. We are listening to somebody either the Holy Spirit or Satan or our own thoughts. We need to know God’s voice. John 10:27-28 says and this is Jesus, speaking “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” Jesus is saying his sheep (followers) hear, love, and follow him. It is the “LOVE” (God) that moves us to follow.
There is a time for everything. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8,11 says “To everything is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep and a time to cast away; A time to rend (tear apart), and a time to sew, a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.”
We all should look at our time and what we do because we will only get so much time. What we do has a reflection on us and who we are. Is everything we do righteous and are we following Jesus and the Holy Spirit? Are we living our life worrying about our issues or living it fully with the Holy Spirit helping us overcome them because we are not guaranteed tomorrow? God wants us to live our lives with no regrets. God Bless.
