The Lord Should be First in Everything we do—R Fritz
When we put the Lord first, he leads us through life, or we can choose to be the leader in our life; the result will be quite different. Our life before Jesus was what we had, and I am sure we will find people say their life was not that bad. The point being, not too bad does not compare to our life with Jesus now, where God’s love shines on us. Every day is not perfect, as it is better than it’s not bad for our life. We are ok with being average or just getting by. God did not make us to just get by; he made us for greatness. We are used to being just average because we have been beaten down until we just gave up fighting for what we want, where God has greatness for us, and we do not even know it. It is starting to understand and know God, where we find out that with God, we can do anything. Romans 12:2 says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” It requires a change in our thought process. Our faith and belief come back, then our fight comes back. When we get our fight back, that is when Jesus can use us because we know God, and the Holy Spirit becomes our teacher as we go, when at any time the Holy Spirit gives us what we need as we walk through our lives.
Our life requires change because choosing Jesus was our first decision to change; as we say, we are moving to the light. If we choose not to move further to the light and stay with the words being where our thoughts have not been transformed, we have done little. When we make the first move and stop, we put our lives on hold. Matthew 16:24-25 says, and this is Jesus speaking: Then said Jesus unto his disciples, ‘If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.” We must deny ourselves daily, which requires a decision. Moving forward with our thought process and letting the Holy Spirit be part of our lives, and eventually letting the Holy Spirit be the moving force in our lives. It all happens as we surrender our will and let the Holy Spirit use our personality and experiences to become the person we were meant to be. It starts when we trust God and moves further with more trust, and it depends on us to gain that trust. It took me many years, but those who embrace what I am saying and choose to be a student with the Holy Spirit being the teacher can become the warrior God ordained far faster. I had a lot of baggage that I needed to shed as I was being obedient to the Holy Spirit. Many will not have to do or go through what I did. That was my story when I chose something I am all in or I am not in at all. I chose to investigate before making that decision, as we all have that choice, and I had no clue what I was in for. I was told the Holy Spirit would teach me, and I had to embrace what I saw and what I was asked to do as I was trying to defeat fear, as I had for fifty years.
Fear is the thing that stops people from being on track. It is a lie, a thought from Satan that we believe will happen, a thought that we should discard, remove from our thoughts as we dwell on it. We cannot control the thoughts that come to us. Once we have these thoughts, we can accept them as truth or discard them as untruth and discard them immediately. We are not taught about our thoughts and accept all because we think they are our thoughts. I was taught by the Holy Spirit to keep the righteous thoughts and discard all others. The ones I am not sure of, I might keep for a while to investigate. We cannot depend on ourselves to know spiritual things because they are beyond our wisdom. Without the Holy Spirit, keeps us locked in the physical or fleshly realm, and what we see and believe is truth. We may see things that do not make sense, but the Holy Spirit opens the spiritual realm with God’s understanding, as well as understanding the Bible, to those in the Holy Spirit’s lives. The Holy Spirit can come upon anybody. It took me years to unlock what fear is and study the Bible verses on fear to win some battles, until one day I got the verse to stop fear immediately. God did not just tell me all the answers; he made me walk through situations, then get the answers to win battles. 1John 4:18-19 says, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear has torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” When fear arrives, it brings a feeling with it. That feeling or torment was not part of love. Perfect love is the Holy Spirit and fear must leave.
We are given that authority as the Holy Spirit comes to chase fear away. With fear gone, life changes as it comes down to the decision of letting the Lord lead our lives. We have a choice without Satan trying to control our lives. Once we know the truth about fear, we can feel the torment fear brings and know it is present. It is the wisdom that the Holy Spirit brings that if we put the Lord first, we will see in the spirit and bring an attitude to believe we can change our lives. God Bless.
