HOPE
Hoping for Somebody or Something is More than Words—R Fritz
Our expectations when we hope for somebody or something to happen require more than words, it requires prayer and if when we say hope we mean it. It is not a quick prayer and move on. Hope does not get God involved on itself. Romans 8:24-27 says “For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hopes for? But if we hope that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Likewise, the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities (weaknesses): for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.” Hope is for something not seen but with patience to wait for it. We need hope but the hope we are looking for comes from above, not just stating “I hope we feel better tomorrow.” If God is not involved it is a thought that means nothing. The Holy Spirit makes intercession for us when we ask, it is not automatic. We need to get the Holy Spirit involved with the relationship we have grown.
When we see somebody that needs something it is time for action not just words. It could be taking the time to listen to somebody who just wants to speak their mind. We do not know exactly what we need to do until we spend our time seeing what somebody needs. Words may sound good, but we will be known by our actions and who we are because people will have heard about us and who we are. This is us obeying what we are supposed to do. It is one of the two greatest commandments. The two greatest commandments are in Matthew 22:36-40 and says Master, which is the greatest commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” If we love God and our neighbor, we should love everybody. Our neighbor is not just the person that lives near us, it is everybody we meet including the ones we do not have a good relationship with at this point.
We do not know how that person that does not like us was treated in their life. At one time I was the person that had a problem with people. Finding Jesus changed my life. When I found the true God, my choice was to be all in, that choice made me to overcome fear which was controlling me all my life until God showed me how to overcome. It was not an easy proposition for me and took years to overcome making headway then falling back and forth. It was learning to overcome Satan and his schemes after falling for his lies. We must learn who Satan is and his traits where I learned that Satan would give me Bible verses but would be missing parts of the verses because the Holy Spirit would give me the whole verse. Other times when I was not sure who was talking to me was to wait for either God would send me somebody or God would show me at his time. It was learning all the things I have so that anybody who wants to overcome fear can because of my choice to overcome and can tell my story so anybody can overcome faster than me. We do not have to reinvent anything just use what I did that works for others.
The Holy Spirit reminds us about God’s commandment because they are written on our heart. When we are shown or told something by the Holy Spirit we should obey. It is not about us thinking we know better and not listening to the Holy Spirit. Hebrews 10:14-18 says “For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities (lawlessness) will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.” There is the covenant made between God and us that God would put his laws into our hearts and minds with the Holy Ghost being the witness.
Our hope comes in the form of Jesus who said we could trust him because he does not lie. The hope that we believe in has proven to be something we have used to change our life and to trust God. Hebrews 6:18-19 says “That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; That trust has taken us down a road to make a better life or us. God’s hope should be an anchor for our life when things are not going well. It is for us when things are not going well to get closer to God through the Holy Spirit and focusing on God when our problems seem overwhelming. There have been times in my life where death in my family put me in a position that I needed to focus entirely on Jesus to get through it. Learning to lean on Jesus as we live our life starts to become the norm. It is when hope turns into faith where action becomes who we are. When we choose to act, our life will change because we have overcome Satan and his chaos where God’s peace can become the norm in the middle of that chaos.
We first got hope from God that anything is possible. That was our start and beginning to know God, it is what will take us through life to our time when we end this life into eternal life the place we are destined to go. Hope, faith, and love make this life livable. Start living it to the fullest. God Bless.
Our Purpose
In this world in which we are living, it is obvious that the Word of God needs to reach those that are lost and are searching for answers to events surrounding the news media that are bombarding us with what is in most cases, false news. There is no doubt in our minds that all the answers are found in the scriptures of the Holy Bible and it is our intent to search the scriptures thoroughly and find the answers to everyday questions that are people are pondering. There is no way that anybody can exhaust the whole Bible and know all the answers, but through divine inspiration from the Holy Spirit, that we will be lead according to His will. One thing that we hear out in the world is, “The Bible is too hard to understand.” The mistake that people most commonly make is, they think they can read and understand the Bible without guidance from the Holy Spirit and that is impossible. We will take scriptures out of the Bible and try our best to bring them to life. The Word of God is a living testimony of Jesus Christ and in order to know the living God (Jesus Christ) you have to understand the written Word.
It is or hope that we will lead people to the saving knowledge and wisdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! It is our intent to encourage people to get into the Word of God and hear what our Lord has to say to you. We understand that no human being alive can save another human being from the destruction of sin. Only by grace can one be forgiven through faith and that in and of itself is a free gift generously given to us by our heavenly Father through the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ! It is our intent to bring to life the truth of salvation through Jesus Christ! There are two particular verses in the Bible that we keep in the front our memory bank. Acts 17:11; “These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.” We expect you to be a Berean and search the scriptures daily to make sure that we are guiding you in all truth according to God’s Word. Secondly, Romans 8:28; “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Once you become born-again and know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, then you can be assured that everything that happens in your life will be Father filtered.
