Do we really know God, Jesus, and Ourselves—R Fritz

This is a question I want you to think about. I am finding out more about each name above. We need to look at each of them, their nature, and the truths about them. The Holy Spirit has been showing me information about God, Jesus, and myself because I am looking and asking. One thing I can tell you is if you are trying to find the truth about God, you will find it and it will find you. If you are open to the truth no matter what it is, God will send people to teach you. You must be teachable and have a humble heart. Ephesians 1:4-5 says, “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:” He has chosen us!

Luke 12:6-7 says, and this is Jesus’ speaking “Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.” Jesus is saying he knows every hair on your head and knows every one of us and every detail about us and we are valuable. He values birds, how much more he values us. God is concerned about everyone of us. We were given the freedom to choose, obey or disobey. Just like our parents there are rules. Without rules, we get into trouble. Adam had only one rule, do not eat from one tree. Satan came and taught Adam to doubt God’s only rule and taught him to sin. He could not even obey just one rule. Moses came with 10 rules from God. God was trying to keep our life on track. Sin (doubt and disobedience) changed our life trusting in ourselves. We will look to God when nothing else works, sometimes it is too late then.

God had a plan to deal with sin and sent Jesus to take sin to the cross. When Jesus died, the Holy Spirit took us from being in bondage to sin to becoming a son when we got the Holy Spirit. Galatians 4:3-7 says “Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son than an heir of God through Christ.” This shows the love God has for us.

Most people do not completely understand God’s love. I have seen God’s love where the Holy Spirit has shown it and I have felt it. Man’s love does not compare and unless we are shown it by God or the Holy Spirit, we do not understand it and cannot pass it on to somebody else. 1 John 4:7-12 says “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.” Love is perfected in us with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit teaches all things. If you need love, we need to ask God and read about God’s love. We need to understand God’s love and read that “God is Love.” His love is overwhelming!

People do not always believe God’s word (the Bible) can change their situation they are about to go through or are in the process of overcoming. John 1:1-4 says “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” The thing that is exciting is if you understand that the “Word was God,” it can come alive just like God. The Holy Spirit does that to people who have that Spirit. I have seen it many times where the words will actually go across my face like a ticker tape. I also see words given me to speak out that I see just before I speak. The Word is also given me when I write this Blog. This is what anybody can have if they are obedient to God.

God’s “Grace” is defined as “Divine Influence” because it is his and handed out as God sees fit even though we might not deserve it. It is a tool God uses for his glory. God’s grace is also his love and compassion for us, it is a love given to us but giving more grace to the humble. It is God’s divine influence through Jesus Christ where “we” did not have to die for our sins. Jesus Christ came and took our place on the cross and his death was the atonement for our sins if we accept him as our Savior. That was the ultimate use of “Grace” that God did for us!

Man has taken the word grace and changed its meaning. God’s grace does not give us a right to sin or to keep on with our sin. Grace is not ours to use, it belongs to God. He administers it when he feels we need it. Some people want to use God’s grace as something they can use to get rid of the consequences of sin. You have no right to take God’s tool to justify your behavior and to keep on using God’s tool thinking you are ok. Numbers 32:23 says, “But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the Lord: and be sure your sin will find you out.” If you have the Holy Spirit, it will convict you to change what you have been doing.

God’s nature was shown through Jesus Christ as a parent wanting the best for his son or daughter. As a parent we must have rules to keep us going down the right path. As children our parents know what is best for us. We do not always believe them. We go our own way having fun and doing our own thing. The parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32 shows exactly what I am saying. Jesus shows us with one son leaving the good we have for something we think is better. He found out what we have is what is best for us. Jesus will except us back with open arms. It also talks about our inheritance. Our inheritance is with Jesus Christ and God’s grace. We just must repent and accept him as your Savior and follow and obey the Holy Spirit. God Bless.
