Every Day is a Battle where we Decide Who and How to Fight—R Fritz
We need to figure out who is our friend and who is our foe as our day goes on. People are affected by their feelings or what is going on in their lives. We let issues in our life come with us and when people talk to us, we let our issues come out. I have noticed in the last few weeks something is trying to affect my thoughts. The Holy Spirit just revealed to me these are spirits I have not seen or noticed before. My reaction to what I see going on is to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal more of what is going on and how to deal with what I notice spiritually happening to me. The first thing I was told was in James 1:19-20, 25-26 says “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he is being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. If any man among you seems to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain(useless). This is one of the most important concepts we must remember swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath because we are constantly dealing with people. We are to control our tongue and not let our wrath come out of our mouth or in our actions.
Spirits affect people and us. Satan directs our thoughts into us believing whatever thoughts we have are our thoughts, in reality they belong to Satan. These spirits are familiar spirits that are around us all the time. These spirits know us and know how to get us to think about such things as God has forgot us, God is angry at me, or I am a bad person. These statements are put in with our thoughts so we think these untrue thoughts fit in with our true thoughts and feelings. We accept them as our thoughts or feelings. This is where the Holy Spirit comes in to teach us what is happening and reminds us the next time, we get into situations that Satan and his minions are speaking to us and trying to counterfeit our thoughts or beliefs.
It is now time that every person who wants to learn how to fight in the Spirit be able to. We look at people and find some are afflicted by spirits internally, some have spirits that are affecting them outward. There are some people who do not want to know this or are afraid of spirits. The truth (Holy Spirit or the Bible) sets us free. This is about saving people and giving them God’s truth without spirits trying to manipulate our thoughts, then our actions. Fighting in the Spirit is first having a relationship with God through the Holy Spirit. I see too many people fighting in the flesh which I have done sometimes because Satan knows what it takes for us to forget where our battles originate. When we are in these battles, we have to bring the Holy Spirit into them. If we do not do that we are fighting in the flesh. I have been there many times wanting to fight in the Spirit but ending up fighting in the flesh. It happens because we let Satan affect our thoughts. Ephesians 6:11-13 says “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles (schemes) of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Our enemy is not that person that disagrees with us, it is the evil spirit that is binding this person’s true spirit. That spirit is who we are to battle with.
The Holy Spirit has all power on earth to teach us. Our relationship with the Holy Spirit and surrendering our will lets the Holy Spirit who lives in us operate through us. God knows what we want or need but we still must ask God through prayer and the Holy Spirit to change other people. This is one battle we fight in the Spirit. The other battle is us being sent by God to actually battle through the spiritual battle we do not see before our eyes, that people cannot do themselves. Evil spirits afflicting or affecting people which most people do not know about. The words given by the Holy Spirit to crush this evil spirit so the person can hear God. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 says “(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” These two verses are some of the most important verses for spiritual warfare given to me by the Holy Spirit to stop fear, it stops fear immediately. When we are fighting in the Spirit, we are not using our words or our weapons because they are worthless and will do nothing for our spiritual battle. Whether we are fighting spirits around us or we see and are asked to fight the spiritual battle for somebody the Holy Spirit directs us in what we are supposed to use. Those two verses require every spirit and every thought to come into alignment and obedience with Jesus.
We need to put on the whole armour of God which keeps us safe. Ephesians 6:11, 13-18 says “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may stand against the wiles (schemes) of the devil. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparations of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” This is a comparison between battle attire from that time and us being asked to apply these items spiritually to be able to battle in the Spirit. It also shows what our weapons are for Spiritual battle. Many years ago, I saw arrows being shot at me in the Spirit and the feeling when they hit me. This is why we need to apply them, Spiritually applied every day before we leave home.
We now know and have the spiritual tools necessary to win battles in the Spirit where our battles are fought. We can say I am not going to use these tools or do anything. That’s okay, our family and friends could pay the price because we do not or are afraid to do what God has called every one of us to do. That is our choice. God Bless.
