Consequences—R Fritz

There are consequences for speeding. There are consequences for missing work. There are consequences for everything. We live with the consequences. Some are physical, some cost money, some could cost you your life. It is a part of life. I am looking at consequences from God. Adam sinned and was kicked out of the Garden of Eden. Lot’s wife looked back when leaving Sodom and Gomorrah and turned into a pillar of salt. Romans 6:16 says “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death or of obedience unto righteousness? We choose to sin or God and that is our master. When we disobey, we are believing in sin and not in God. If we love God, we will obey him. Most people do not understand what is really happening. This is the lie that Satan does not want you to know.

Most people do not want to disobey God. There is something in their life causing that to happen. It could be fear, it’s something that Satan tells you that you believe, stopping you from doing what you need to do. It’s also you not trusting in God and living in the flesh. If you looked in the spirit, you would see God’s plan and the truth. John 17:17 says “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” If we are looking for the truth, reading and studying the Bible and the word gives you how you should live your life.

The Holy Spirit changes us into the Spiritual man. The Spiritual man sees the word and sees the Holy Spirit deal with issues or is involved with the Holy Spirit in helping to change somebody else. We all have the opportunity to be all we can be with the Holy Spirit being part of us, we just need to choose to give our will up to the Holy Spirit. If we step back and let the Holy Spirit be the new you. You just need to show up and the words that come out of your mouth are given to you with your actions that also coincide with what the Lord wants. Matthew 13:23 says “But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it, which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” When the Holy Spirit gives you understanding and adds to it when you obey, understanding beyond all others because you see God’s nature and how we should be, it becomes real. Those that use their wisdom and understanding instead of choosing to study with God’s wisdom and have that relationship are robbing themselves of a blessed life.

I am talking about consequences because I had to give a message to somebody. A message I did not want to give to somebody. One that I had to look at myself to make sure I was not guilty of as the Holy Spirit is telling me. It is about disobedience. Disobedience for not doing one particular thing and knowing that for years. There comes a time when God’s patience is pushed to the limit. The message was about consequences for the disobedience, being health issues. Colossians 3:6 says “For which things sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:” The wrath of God is not necessarily striking people down. It is taking his hand of grace and mercy off from you. That hand of grace and mercy taken off from us lets disease and pain come into our life. I am not saying that everybody that has disease and pain is disobedient. Grace and mercy are God’s tools to use however he sees fit. When we are defiant or disobedient, he gives us chances to come back to being righteous.

God tries to get our attention. First through the Holy Spirit and using anything around us like people, billboards, decals on the back of vehicles. I say this because he has used these tools to talk to me. When we do not respond, the Holy Spirit stops talking. God is not going to keep talking if we are not going to hear what he has to say and attempt to act on what he has asked. We might forget that God sees, hears, and knows our hearts. He knows everything about us. Everything God does is done to get your attention and come back to righteousness. We need to look at our walk and if we do not hear from the Holy Spirit start asking questions of God. Matthew 18:11-12 says and this is Jesus, speaking “For the Son is come to save that which was lost. How think ye? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, doth he does not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? And if so be that he finds it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.” Jesus is not going to lose that one that has gone astray. He is going to do everything to bring that person back to him. He loves all of us.

In my case, the Holy Spirit sent me to answer a question that was asked of me about a month ago. That question was why do I have all these physical issues now. The answer was because of this person’s disobedience in one particular area. We had a conversation and I was thanked for giving the message from God. Jesus was sent to save the lost because he loves all. All of us know people who backslid or have walked away from Jesus or were hurt and are not listening or are blaming God for where they are in life.

The answer for us is to pray and keep praying because Jesus will not let one of his sheep stay lost. Jesus will keep trying to bring that sheep back to him. Our listening to the Holy Spirit can change somebody else that we know. We could be the one the Holy Spirit uses to help someone in our life from being lost. It could be that they think they are getting closer to Jesus but in actuality, they are going farther away from Jesus. We must all look at ourselves to see where we are, which requires us to study God’s ways. God Bless.
