Are We giving the Holy Spirit the Ability to be Our Conscience—R Fritz

We were all given a conscience with the knowledge of God and knowing right from wrong. That knowledge can be lost through Satan’s lies telling us we are ok. Romans 2:14-16 says ‘For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)” This talks about all of us by nature doing the commandments even if we not told them because they were written on our heart and our conscience shows that existence. We know we will be held responsible for our behavior with no excuses. Jesus Christ came to change the penalty for that behavior caused by sin.

We let life and our man-made knowledge take us from God to thinking about ourselves and family and losing our conscience’s purpose. Satan led us away from God and telling us we did not need God and through our knowledge we would succeed. Most of us have seen how that thinking was wrong and not true (a lie). God knows when it is time to hear the truth. We make the decision to believe in the truth or keep living the lie given to us. Situations change and things happen in life because we have walked away from the knowledge of God and finding the consequences from our actions have affected us and our loved ones.

The death of Jesus Christ and the Comforter being sent as the Holy Ghost change those people who have made that decision to except Jesus Christ and will obey the Holy Ghost and give up their will to let the Holy Ghost operate with our spirit. John 14:26 says and this is Jesus speaking “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you “all” things and bring “all” things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” This gives our conscience the true knowledge from God and is always feeding us with the truth coming from God. This is a partnership with our God. Most people have not heard it that way. We let the Holy Ghost drive and we are in the passenger seat. It takes a special relationship with Jesus Christ to get to that trust level and trust him with our life.

Satan sees what is happening and wants to change that partnership putting thoughts and blaming God for any bad things to happen to you. Until we believe that God is looking out for us and always has our back covered will we get that level of trust. We seem to trust ourselves and our thoughts. We have trusted that all our life. We doubt God and believe what we read in papers, books, magazines. The real truth, (The Bible) we question and try to understand with our understanding and knowledge instead of studying with the greatest mind (God) who made everything and knows everything. We are looking for wisdom, what we should be looking for is God’s wisdom in James 3:17 and says, “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be treated, full of mercy, and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” God is love and is the only one who understands love. We (humans) with the Holy Spirit in us and our will given up to the Holy Spirit can change the world. Our mind under a partnership with the Holy Spirit is unstoppable and is what Satan is afraid of.

In my case when the Holy Spirit mentions my past and shows me, we have issues we need to deal with, I say “let’s get through what we need to.” Sometimes the Holy Spirit sees an opportunity to give us freedom from our past. That requires us to keep trusting until the Holy Spirit sets us up to win and overcome the trap set by Satan. Satan knows you and how to get you to react the way he wants trying to get you to sin. The Holy Spirit sees the scheme. In my case it was anger that was taken away by the Holy Spirit faster than it showed up. This is the love, grace, and mercy that God wants to show you for being righteous. If we are righteous, he stands there with you and when Satan sets a trap, he stops you from reacting out in anger. When you least expect it, he stops Satan in his tracks.

When we pray and search for God’s righteous answers for our issues, we see our mistakes and ask for forgiveness. He is just and forgives. Matthew 6:14 says and this is Jesus speaking “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” This is where the grace and mercy are applied. God loves every one of us. He shows his love in whatever way he wants to. We cannot judge what God does or does not do. The problem comes when we look at situations or issues in our life through our knowledge and our fleshly eyes. When we look through our spiritual eyes, we see God’s hand on our life and understand why he does different things for different situations and for different people. God shows love the way you receive it the best.

We have the opportunity to do and be whatever God wants us to be. We have to get out of our comfort zone. Pray and search for God until he answers us. Study the Word with the Holy Spirit giving you the living word. If we want to have a great life and greater eternal life, we need to make that relationship with Jesus Christ the most important thing in our life. It will change our life with our family and the people around us. Prayer changes the things we cannot change in somebody else. God Bless.
