You Cannot do it Yourself but the Spirit Can—R Fritz
Believers are doing and trying to get what they believe is God’s will done in the flesh. That is a plan to fail. Those who are Born-Again should know the “Spirit” is the only way to win our battles. When we fight our battles in the flesh we will lose. I have seen that many times myself. Our kingdom is in the Spirit. Romans 14:17 says “for the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” The Holy Ghost with righteousness, peace, and joy is the kingdom of God.
A few weeks ago when I was writing the Blog “Freedom and Liberty, God’s Way” I said to the Holy Spirit that I did not think I was right person to write about freedom and liberty. I was told that I was not writing it, the Holy Spirit was writing it. I did not say another word and finished the blog. I was given more understanding today. Every time I write a blog, information is downloaded as I write it down.
When the Holy Spirit is received by you, it is your “will” that decides if or how much the Holy Spirit is part of you or a partnership of you. The Bible talks about us being sinners. The Holy Spirit when received is allowed to operate depending on how much of your will you give up and let the Holy Spirit operate. The Holy Spirit lives in us and becomes us with your spirit and the Holy Spirit becoming one. You overcome sin because your will is given up and God’s Spirit which is sinless has more control of your body. God is not going to override your will. Our level of trust is what gives us the ability to give up control of ourselves.
There are few people who understand what really happens with the Holy Spirit. God has given me information so anybody that reads this blog can have spiritual revelation. The question I am going to ask is if you love God, you should want to obey or want to be as close to him. That will show in our actions and finally in our words when they match our actions. 2 Timothy 3:5 says, “having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away,” This talks about looking and sounding godly, religious. Notice This word godly, meaning other gods not the true God Jesus Christ. The true God has power and uses it. They do not want the Holy Spirit and deny it’s existence and want no part of it. It’s a matter of playing the part and using their knowledge and opinions to manipulate people.
We have a choice who we are going to follow. If we choose Jesus, life will be better, and the end result will be eternal life. That decision was not just a decision to follow Jesus one time. It is a decision made every day and everything we do to follow Jesus and to do his will. If we have the Holy Spirit and let his will to prevail the decisions made are from the Holy Spirit and we can trust them with prayer. Romans 8:26-27 says “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.” Sometimes we just need to start praying and the Spirit knows our needs and what is going on in our life. When we see God answering our prayers without us saying a word to anybody is unbelievable sometimes.
God did not make us robots, he wanted us to have a personality with different wants and needs, likes, and dislikes. The Holy Spirit wants to use us with our personality to talk to people about Jesus Christ or to give people hope and the good news with the stories of us overcoming so more people hear the truth. Sometimes the truth is talking about Satan and the things he does to cloud the truth. Sometimes the things we believe are truth are not. We want to believe what we see as the truth because of our past or things that happened to us. What we saw has made us look at the negative instead of the positive. We are looking through Satan’s delusional thoughts and visions. They look real, I was there over 20 years ago.
The Holy Spirit gives us the ability to see spiritual things and to look at things from all angles to get the true picture. This is why Satan has a harder time to convince you of a lie or an untruth. It is God’s wisdom and God’s understanding that we are looking through. Our wisdom means nothing in God’s world, the spiritual. 1 Corinthians 1:25,30 says “Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:” Those of us who are in Jesus and the Holy Spirit have God’s wisdom and the other attributes that go with it at our disposal. We just have to ask for them as we are doing God’s work.
The Holy Spirit gives us the spiritual eyes to see the things that are revealed in the spirit as they are happening so you can deal with them with God’s wisdom and understanding. I have seen where the Holy Spirit wanted me to use my sense of smell because spirits stink sometimes. We have all God’s tools at our command with the Holy Spirit the teacher. We can and will overcome if we give our will to the Holy Spirit, so our spirits come together as one spirit, one heart, one mind in one body. We need to become who God meant for us to be. God Bless.
