We have to Know God’s Spirit and be Spiritually Minded on Earth to get to Heaven
–R Fritz
Those that are in the Spirit or the Spirit controls their thoughts and lives in their heart have a relationship with Jesus Christ. You look at things differently than people who do not have the Spirit or have it but do not let it to operate in their life. Romans 8:4,6,7-9 says “that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity (a feeling of hostility) against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” The carnal mind is against God. The spiritual mind is under the law of righteousness and pleases God. Remember the Spirit of Christ gives us righteousness to overcome the flesh.
When we look at what’s going on in the world, we should look at it through the Holy Spirit’s eyes. We are used to look at everything through our eyes. There is a big difference and a different outcome. You have to look at our spiritual tools to win the battles for people and their issues. Many people automatically go back to old self (the flesh). All physical or mental issues start in the flesh. Most of them came before we knew Jesus Christ and our past. Sin started many of these issues, but the battle is in the spirit. We are trying to get the answers to spiritual issues in the flesh. We are fighting these issues in the flesh.
Our spiritual tools are Prayer, discernment, The Word (Bible) plus our spiritual gifts. There are some who believe that sometimes we are wasting our time when we pray. I can tell you many times that I saw things change before my eyes and can say that praying changes things in the spirit. I have seen times where I thought I had failed God and God had sent somebody to help me get to the expected end. This is where the battles are won or lost. Discernment sees the spirits that operate or afflict people and can deal with them whether it is call them out and set that person free or to show the lies that Satan has told and to set that person free with the truth. The Word (the Bible) is used as the Spiritual sword or two-edged sword where words cut and change the heart or used against Satan to put him in his place and tell him who he is or remind him where he is going.
I have spoken before about these tools on our tool belt. They are always there for our use. When we get into a battle for our mind or for an illness or pain we feel, we forget these tools exist. They are hanging on your tool belt. Satan draws us away with his thoughts. We go back to what we have done in the past. The Holy Spirit reminds us who we are, and that Satan has already been defeated, we just need to tell him and keep listening to the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 6:12 says “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” This was one of the first Bible verses I learned. I learned who I was fighting, it was not people but the spirits either in people or the spirits manipulating people with Satin’s thoughts and how to deal with them.
The “Armor of God” is a tool talked about in Ephesians 6:10-18. Each part of armor has to do with different parts where they were worn in battle to completely cover all our vital areas. The Helmet of Salvation is to cover our head for deliverance and renewing our mind. The next is the Belt of Truth which girds (encircles) us, around our waist and will guide you in all truth. The Breastplate of Righteousness covers our heart and is the discernment of right and wrong. The Shield of Faith or Trust which is trust and belief in God and his word. The Sword of the Spirit is God’s word that cuts as a two-edged sword through bone and marrow. The Shoes of Peace is the last piece of armor needed and when they are applied you should be at peace and you are fully equipped with all their armor and Satan cannot afflict you. This is something you should do every day. It’s a spiritual application.
Without the Holy Spirit we can sound religious or can think we know righteousness. 1 Corinthians 1:25,27,29 says “Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. but God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound (confuse) the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound (confuse) the things which are mighty; that no flesh should glory in his presence.” We sometimes think we are pretty smart, and we might be on earth. The smartest people are the ones that humble themselves before God. That is who God is looking for, the teachable person that believes in him, the person that God can mold to be like him. God does not necessarily use the brightest or sharpest, he uses thosethat follow him and obey him. God can and will give you “his Wisdom and Understanding” to be the brightest and sharpest spiritually on earth.
The Bible is meant to be spiritually discerned. Too many people are not equipped to spiritually understand the Bible. This comes from the Holy Spirit. About 20 years ago I was fighting spiritual battles when I first chose Jesus Christ. The problem was I did not know how to fight a spiritual battle. I was told to fight in the spirit, when I asked the people around me how to do that, they could not tell me how to do it. The Holy Spirit showed me how to fight in the spirit. Before that I had to endure the spiritual attacks Satan brought on me. I saw arrows shot at me in the spirit and hitting me. They had a particular feeling when I felt them hit me.
Through the last 20 + years I have gained God’s wisdom and understanding and am still learning. Because the Holy Spirit has taught me how to win spiritual battles, I choose to pass along the wisdom I have learned. It was humbling for me that God would give me the ability to be able to win spiritual battles. I do not always win, and lessons are learned by me. We just need to ask God, be humble, be a student that is willing to do more than is asked, believing, and trusting what he asks us to do, this is probably the hardest and being a warrior, who comes after trusting in God. This is the excitement that the Holy Spirit gives me, sometimes the battles are more than I think I can handle and have to ask the Holy Spirit for help.
It all comes down to you. You have 2 choices, keep doing what you have been doing or choose to have more of Jesus Christ and win the battles you did not know you could win for Jesus Christ. The “spirit” is where all battles are won or lost. God is love! If you truly love him, you will obey him. Luke 10:25-27 says “And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, “What is written in the law? How readest thou?” And he is answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and thy neighbor as thyself.” With “Love” we can do anything. I pray that God shows you his love and you show it to everybody you know. God Bless.
