“The Bible seen through the Lens of the Holy Spirit”— R Nelson

BIBLE REFERENCE:

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT:

I want to share an interesting way of explaining how the Bible can only be understood by true born-again believers. Let’s take a hologram for instance. A hologram is a form of lens less photography. It’s a way of getting an image without a lens. If you have an object and you illuminate it with a laser you can take the same laser light and you can reflect the image from the object onto some film. What the film records is where the light intersects. When you do this and you go through this procedure you expose the film, and when you develop it and hold it up to natural light it looks like a dark room mistake. It looks like a cloudy piece of film. It looks like an over exposed film. It has no desirability in natural light. What you do with this piece of film then, is you set it up again in its natural process, and you illuminate it with the laser that created it in the first place. The piece of film then becomes a window into a three-dimensional space. You look at this piece of film and you are looking into the space where you see a three-dimensional image of whatever it was that was there. What do I mean by a three-dimensional image? Well, for example let’s imagine that I had an unusual pendent or something like a microphone on my shirt, and let’s assume that I hold a Bible up in front of the camera and you took a picture of me, the picture would give you a two-dimensional image. So when you look at the picture you would not be able to see the microphone on my shirt. But if it were a laser, or a hologram, you could move your eye around the side and look behind it and see the microphone. The hologram in its natural light has no form or comeliness that you would desire. But if you illuminated it with the laser that created it in the first place you see an image. Since that is true you could cut out a segment of the film and you would not lose the image, because you could look around the hole. What is my point?

Well, the Bible is like a hologram. If you look at the Bible in its natural light, it is a collection of old stories and legends, it doesn’t have any integrity to the natural man. Paul tells us that in 1 Corinthians 2:14, “but the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, because they are spiritually discerned”. But when you take the Bible and illuminate it with the light that created it in the first place (The Holy Spirit) you will get an image. The image of what…you get Jesus Christ on every page. As a true born-again Christian, we can see and understand the things that the natural man cannot see because we see it through the lens of the Holy Spirit. People will ask me, “What makes me so sure that I am right, and all the other religions of the world are wrong?” It is impossible for me or any other born-again believer to explain why we know what we know because even that will not make sense to them. Let me give you the best example of what I am saying. If you understand “Morse Code,” you will understand any message that is sent to you, but if you do not understand “Morse Code,” you will never be able to decipher what the message is trying to get across. It is exactly like that when trying to understand the Bible…it is written in a code that only those that are born-again into the Holy Spirit can understand. You can spend all day trying to figure out a “Morse code message” that you know nothing about in the same way it is impossible for you to understand the scriptures of the Bible without receiving the code from the “Holy Spirit.”  I might sound like a broken record, but once you understand what I am trying to get across, it will open up a whole new meaning to Bible interpretation.

The Bible is a looking glass that brings the past to life and the future to wisdom and knowledge. No one can possibly have any idea of what is truly taking place in our world on a biblical scale unless you are grounded in faith in the scriptures of the Word of God. What we are seeing today on a grand scale of world events have all been prophesied from days of old and if you have any wisdom or knowledge of Bible prophecy you will know that whoever is responsible for all the Words in the Bible, knew exactly what would take place in the end of days. He knew the beginning from the end and everything in between. I want to add, if you are truly a born again Christian, you should be excited by what is happening in our world today even though it is very evil in scope. The Bible tells us all this is going to happen. God has told us that all these things must happen before the second coming of Christ. All the signs of His second coming that we were told would happen, are all converging at once. We are living in some pretty exciting times if you’re watching it through the lens of scriptures.

I remember watching a cartoon back in the sixties and seventies called “Under Dog.” For those that have watched this carton know that Under Dogs catch fraise was, “There’s no need to fear, Under Dog is here.” Well, my friends, if you are truly a born-again believer, there is no need to fear “Jesus Christ is here” As long as Jesus Christ is sitting in the throne room of heaven, we will never have anything to fear “IF” you are born-again and saved by the precious blood of Jesus Christ! My favorite memory verse in the Bible is found in Romans 8:28 as most of you are well aware of, And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”  This is a promise from the creator of the universe, the true Body of Christ is guaranteed that everything that happens in our life is working out for the good, even though there are days in our walk with Jesus Christ where we will ask, “How can this be working out for the good?” When in doubt, look to this verse and have faith that every Word of God is faithful and true. He cannot lie so you can believe without a doubt that what He says, He means.

ACTION POINT:

So, What I am getting at is this…you need to be born-again as Jesus Christ clearly states in John 3: 3 & 5; “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”  You need to receive the Holy Spirit into your heart before He will reveal any truth to you. The Holy Spirit is the only person that can reveal His truth because He is the one that inspired every Word. Like it says above, if you just pick up the Bible one day and start to read it, it will not make much sense to you, but when you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, the Bible comes alive and starts to get clearer as you read each page. You will get to a point where you just go…WOW. So, receive the Holy Spirit today and let Him speak to you through His Word. You will be amazed at what you will learn when you give it all to Jesus Christ. “Written To the glory of God, Inspired by the Holy Spirit!” Amen!

The Bible seen through the Lens of the Holy Spirit—R Fritz

When you look through a lens it will magnify or shed light on whatever you are looking at. The Holy Spirit gives the ability to worship our God in spirit and truth. The Holy Spirit also magnifies the words for studying the Bible. We have two choices, worship our God in spirit and truth or worship money or other worldly things in the flesh. When we worship God, we declare he is worthy of our reverence and the truth who we believe God is and submission to him. When we worship in spirit, our spirit and God’s Spirit are one through the Holy Spirit. John 4:23-24 says an this is Jesus speaking “But the hour cometh and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” You make that choice whether you will serve God and when you will worship the Lord. People think they have to go to church to worship God. Worship is a connection with God’s spirit to your spirit. Anything less than that is just words and actions with no meaning (just going through the motions). What most people do not understand is “worship” can be done at any time with you praising and speaking to the Lord. I did this at work all the time. Because of praying as I was walking and praising the Lord, I saw many incredible things that the Lord did in the workplace. Most people do not know we can worship, talk, and praise God wherever we want. Nobody can stop us from worshiping including our boss or the government. You might be thinking I cannot be right. I did every day at work. I worshipped and prayed while walking, sitting, or standing. I was not speaking the words out loud. I was spiritually speaking, praising, and worshipping my Lord and Savior. Nobody knew what I was doing except my Lord and Savior.

When you have the Holy Spirit, you are one with the Lord. 1 Corinthians 6:17,19-20 says “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” The price that was paid was Jesus died for our sins and we need to be thankful. Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and we need to honor that. We have given our body and spirit to God! That is the truth that should change you forever if you are sold out to Jesus Christ. Now knowing that, that should change some of the things you have been thinking or doing. We all make a choice and I know life wants to take us away from our faith. Satin also wants to take you from your faith. The answer to all of your issues or problems are in the “Bible.” Most of issues involve our thinking. Some people call it our “stinken thinken.” It gets back to feelings and your past. Issues I have talked about in the last month. I know things happen in life and how we handle them are ingrained in us through the things we go through or our past. Change, that word nobody wants to hear is what the Bible talks about. We listen to the people around us instead of asking God. Most people only ask God when they have gone through all the people they know. I have heard people tell me that I would not ask God on such a small issue. People have been taught to go to God only what they think are big enough issues in their life. I can tell you “PRAYER” or you speaking to God about any issue no matter how small are welcomed. Our thinking that God does not want to or does not have time for us is a thought from Satin. You do not understand how much our God loves us and wants to have a relationship with us. Again, it is the things we were taught that are incorrect that have left us where we are now.

The Holy Spirit is the answer to all your problems. Many times, people have told me their issues and as they are telling me the Holy Spirit is giving me their answer. Sometime he tells me the next morning. There are other times, the Holy Spirit tells me in a day or two. My prayer sometimes is to have the Lord tell them the answer. My point is if you have the same Holy Spirit as I have, you should get the answers just like I do. If you do not, I going to say it is the relationship with the Lord. I am going to say it could be a trust issue. You can trust the Lord with your life, or you can trust man. The relationship with the Lord will last forever. Revelations 3:15-16 says, and this is Jesus speaking “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” This should be a wake-up call to everyone. Being lukewarm is being wishy washy or not taking a stand for Jesus Christ. Just because Satin knows how to push your buttons and things are not going well does not mean we start blaming God. We forget who put us in that predicament. We need to look at you or listening to Satin and your thoughts.

We all should know where the answer is. Revelations 3:21 says and this is Jesus speaking “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even.

as I also overcame and am set down with my Father in his throne.”  We need to overcome! The Holy Spirit has all your answers, or the Holy Spirit will send somebody. Either way you get the answer. The hard part is obeying the message that is sent from God. It requires change. It might require you to talk to somebody. I went through this many times, it is uncomfortable, it is the only way to overcome. I learned after a while that as uncomfortable as it is, I might as well do it right now. Too many people will not go through what is require to be all they can. I pray that the Lord give you grace and strength to overcome what is uncomfortable. God Bless.
