God Knows What is Best for Us and that Requires Trust—R Fritz

We have done what we see as right for all of life until things go bad, or we get sick of how our life has turned out. Before we were born, we knew God. Psalms 22:9-10 says “But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts. I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly.” We knew God but we chose to live life our way. Our parents taught us right from wrong, made sure we were fed, and took care of us. Maybe your parents took you to church. Most of us after we left home thought we knew it all.

I like many young adults found that we did not know everything. We did not believe our parents and just wanted to have fun with no rules which we did not have when we were home. We did not need God or our parents. We like the freedom we found. That was what we knew. Does that sound familiar to you. That is what I know and saw for a while in my life. Then we got married and life happened just like our parents. At someplace in our life, we had to deal with life. We were looking for an effortless way.

We started looking at church and God. We are going back to our roots. I did not know I needed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. People drove me away from church with comments. Religion was not going to keep me in church or help me deal with issues I might have had. God was waiting for you and me to come back. We need that relationship where we can talk to God expecting an answer, it also applies to praying where we have the ability to pray as long as we want to expect God’s answer. John 15:7 says, and this is Jesus speaking “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” Your words and the words of Jesus have to line up then you can ask for what you will, and it shall be done. It does not say Jesus will give you anything you ask.

We have too many people that think they know what God wants you to do. What is good for you might not be good for me. God knows what is best for each one of us. Because people have not heard from God they decide from their wisdom and not of God’s wisdom they are giving advice and people are listening and following them. They are trying to interpret the Bible through their wisdom when it is spiritually discerned. We missed what God has said and are trying to figure out

what has happened or words we heard. I use to believe everybody has the same gifts and God says the same things to everybody. That was because I did not know God and his nature. I have found out within the last months that I have missed what God was showing me sometimes and then trying to “figure out what I saw.” This is what is happening with a lot of people that need God’s answers and have missed out.

This is the Holy Spirit and you become one. This is you surrendering your will every day. This is you studying his nature and beginning to truly get to know him. This is where you hear the Holy Spirit and do not miss what he says. “This is what I did.” It is the recipe to “know God.” The recipe God gave me. I now give it to you. This is the opportunity of your life to get that relationship you truly want with God. It is time to act and get started for those that truly want that. It is you trusting God and wanting that relationship with him more than anything in your life. It is about God giving you more “understanding” to understand the Bible with more of God’s understanding.

I find most people trying to understand God’s love and righteousness fall short because we do not have God’s wisdom. That comes from knowing him through the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 1:21,25-27,29-30 says “For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chose the fooleth things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:” It talks about that people of the world not knowing God because they use their wisdom and those that know Jesus has given us the rights through The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will teach you all things. You have to ask for God’s wisdom and learn God’s righteousness.

I had the opportunity this week to help somebody move to another city who was living in a car. I say opportunity because I saw somebody that had nothing but

clothes in bags looking for an opportunity to get some help, find a job, and find a place to live. I took this person to a place that they believed would give them a place to stay for a short period of time. When they come out, they had told me they had no place to stay. This person said they were not angry after believing they had a place to stay. I said to them I am angry because of the way they were treated, and they have a right to be angry. They said to me, I am sorry for taking up your time. I told them I am on God’s time and have a house to go to. There was a plan B in case it did not work out. What I saw would bring anybody to tears. A person who trusted in God to move and believed they had a place to stay and that taken away with very little money. I saw how I am blessed and am very thankful for what God has done for me. I saw how God took care of one of his followers, believing this was where God wanted them. We all have a lot to be thankful for. God knows what is best for us! God Bless.
