Are we Asking God to Send us the Smartest People to Accomplish God’s Will—R Fritz
We cannot accomplish what God needs or his plans because they are too big for one person so we need to ask for people that can help us. We must learn to ask for help, which is something some of us need to improve on, including myself. Sometimes I look at the things God has given me or why people were sent to me. It sometimes looks overwhelming with the type and severity of the issues. God has told me and shows me when my back gets a little sore, what the Holy Spirit has showed me is I am taking too much on and need to give some of what I am working with to the Holy Spirit to take on other things, things that would not bog me down. It is for me to help those that can move on and overcome some of their issues. I was with some people this last weekend helping to make money for a kid’s project with hot and miserable humidity. I said to this person to “take a break, I would take care of what needed to be done.” They sat down so “I asked if I could do anything for this person,” They finally said that “they did not need nothing else.” “I said there is something I could do and that was to pray for them” and then prayed and they felt better.
The Holy Spirit let me know that I could not help them, but prayers would change their outcome. Ephesians 6:11-15 says “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles (deceit) of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;” It is the armour of God that gives us the ability to overcome the devil. We are supposed to stand, we might ask stand on what? Stand on God’s word, stand on God’s promises that we are more than conquerors, stand on the truth that God will be with us when we need him. We must believe God’s truths then they will become part of us. I just read a story about a family going to a water park. One of the people went down a water slide and remembered they could not swim as they were going down a slide at a fast rate ending up in a pool of water. When they hit the pool of water, they went under the water struggling when they heard the lifeguard blowing his whistle and grab this person and pulled them out of the water. They thanked the lifeguard only to see a puzzled look on the lifeguard. The lifeguard then told this person all they had to do was stand, the water was only three feet tall. They were drowning in three feet of water! We need to look around to see where we are in our situations. We are overwhelmed with fear because we cannot see spiritually what is happening in our life.
Fear has put us in a position to believe the things Satan has said to us which we perceive to be truth when they are lies. It is taking what we see in the present and projecting it into our future. It is always bad news that gets us to worry and think about somebody. Fear feels like it is real, but it is not, it is our imagination accepting projections given by our mind. I climbed a fourteen-thousand-foot mountain in Colorado. As I was nearing the top about a thousand feet from the top when I looked out, my mind was showing me that the terrain was changing, and Satan was telling me that I cannot go up or go down. In other words, Satan wanted fear to overtake me and for me to be stuck in that spot on the mountain. The terrain was becoming distorted through my vision and my mind. The Holy Spirit showed me what was going on and I said, “Shut up Satan I am going to the top” and everything changed back to reality. 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love; and of a sound mind.” God did not give us fear, we were given power, love, and a sound mind from the Holy Spirit.
We forget our secret weapon which should not be secret. The Holy Spirit is that weapon we forget while battling, that is because we are not thinking of the Holy Spirit, we are focused on the issue. I have been there, so I understand what happens. When we surrender, we will be reminded and will think of the Holy Spirit when we are in battle. God has our situation under his control but not necessarily under our control. It is a communication issue between the Holy Spirit and us. We are not looking around to see if the Holy Spirit is showing us through somebody else, on a sign or through our thoughts.
We think too small about what we can do, we need the Holy Spirit to give us really big plans which only come from above. Plans that come from above, only the Holy Spirit will be able to help people who are needed to accomplish what we are supposed to do, all we must do is ask. That is how we get the relationship with the Holy Spirit. We gain trust with expectations from us that our prayers or conversations with the Holy Spirit will be answered. Jeremiah 29:11-13 says “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” This is the recipe for our relationship to come to a new level. We need to search for God with “all” our heart, not some half hearted when we have time chance for his attention. God will give us an expected end and we will find him.
We can ask anybody we see for anything but are afraid to ask God for what we need. It requires a boldness that is given by the Holy Spirit. We need to want something so bad we are willing to get out of our comfort zone. I personally was ten feet off the ground in the spirit above my comfort zone. I conquered fear and was willing to do what it took to get the Holy Spirit’s attention. What are we willing to do to get the Holy Spirit’s attention? God Bless.
