Things Change when We are in the Spirit—R Fritz
We need to learn to get into the Spirit and see what’s really going on, especially when spirits talk to us and we think it is us, because spirits know how to make us believe with sentences that fit what we are doing. Spirits know how to manipulate us because they have been around us our whole life. The spirits that have been around us are called familiar spirits. These spirits know us and have been manipulating us all our lives through thoughts. Our thoughts are the only way they can. We need to get into the spirit also; I know this is deep for most people. When we pray, we should pray against the spirit that is manipulating us or other people. That is what changes people, and when we are praying against these spirits, we can pray and get into the spirit and see these spirits. When these spirits see us in the spirit, and I speak to them, they move quickly away from me. This is where the battle is won, where we make a difference. Prayers are answered, people are healed, spirits are removed from people they are manipulating. Ephesians 6:10-12 says “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles (schemes) of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” We are not fighting people (flesh and blood); we are fighting the spirits people possess or are manipulating these people. That is how we win; God wins. These people now have an opportunity to hear God’s message because these spirits made sure the message, the words we spoke, did not make it to the heart. The message was blocked; that is why we come against these spirits, so people’s minds are clear.
Our former life was manipulated by Satan; when we chose Jesus, our old self was exposed, and our heart was slowly uncovered to see and feel enough to trust in somebody or something. Satan wanted us to be in the dark to know only what Satan wanted to feed us. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 says, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” The god of this world is Satan, who wants to keep us in the dark until Jesus comes along into the light to show us his truth. It was the battle we had to go through and the things we went through with the decisions we made, not knowing the truth because sin was in our lives and we did not know any difference because that was normal. All of the decisions put us where life was a struggle, where our heart and our conscience were trying to tell us there was another way, but we did not see, feel, or know the truth until we had had enough of the life we were living and started to look for something better. At that point, we were open to hearing about Jesus, and it does not stop there as we should keep looking for him, and we will need to keep changing. Life is hard and constantly changing; we need to keep changing to become who Jesus wants us to be, not what the world wants us to be. That is where we will be happiest because God has a plan for each of us. The world wants to pull us away from God and tell us they have all the answers. I will say that the world’s answers are not able to fix some of the biggest problems we have, and we say to ourselves That is the best we can do.
We bring God into our problems after we cannot get what we want or need, when we need to come to him every day. We need to thank him, ask him if he has something he wants us to do, and ask him to help us with the issues we have every day. That is the relationship we need with the Holy Spirit; isn’t that what we do with our spouse or other people in our life? The Holy Spirit wants to be treated, at a minimum, the same way. We treat God like a stranger until we need something, then we want it now. It is time to think about who we are and what we want out of life. Do we have a good relationship with God through the Holy Spirit who lives in us? God loves us, and he is always trying to draw us near him. John 6:44 says, with Jesus speaking, “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me to draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.” We want to do our own thing with the wisdom we have. Somehow, we need to learn who the Holy Spirit is and that the Holy Spirit is always looking at what is best for us from his standpoint. It is always a trust issue we have; this is God we should believe in him with all our heart. It is hard to believe in somebody if we do not know them. We have a choice to talk to other people who have a relationship with the Holy Spirit to gain that trust. We trust in what we see, unlike the Holy Spirit.
I will pray for those who want to be in the Spirit, as praying will get us there. It is us getting familiar with the Holy Spirit that lives in us. It is studying the Bible and talking to the Holy Spirit about our issues, expecting an answer, thanking him each day for at least still waking up, and asking the Holy Spirit to be part of our life. Expect the best because the Holy Spirit was sent to teach us all things. God Bless.
