When Evil Thoughts Come into our Mind They Need to Leave Immediately—R Fritz

The thoughts that come into our mind can come in fast, so we need to hear them then immediately discard them before we start accepting them then our mind and heart believing them. What I am talking about happened a day ago where thoughts come into my mind to blame God for not acting on something on which I was praying. I heard what was said but immediately with the Holy Spirit’s help discarded that thought. We get into trouble because we start to accept that thought and believe it and let our mind with Satan’s help to take it and start to blame God. It might take hours or days to get a handle on that thought before we discard it, or we might keep it and Satan will keep bringing that evil thought back up at will. I thank the Holy Spirit for immediately giving me the understanding after hearing the lie Satan threw at me. Satan takes our mental state and gives us the thoughts he wants to bombard us with the thoughts coming fast so we cannot think through those thoughts. What we need to throw back at Satan is we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:15-16 says “But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For whom hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” We need to remember Satan cannot control us, we let him because we do not know what is happening. We need to tell Satan he is not in control of my life; the Holy Spirit is.

Blaming God is an evil thought because we are in control of our life. We are responsible for our life. When I heard and understood that thought blaming God, that is something I would not do. These are the lies we can believe that start with Satan. We are not responsible for the thoughts that flood our mind, but we are responsible if we act on evil thoughts. Evil thoughts are thoughts that are unrighteous, these thoughts are not necessarily from us they come fast so we do not catch them because Satan wants us to accept the thoughts, he gives us as ours. The result is we move away from God because of lies. Satan is the expert when it comes to lies. We must be careful because when we buy into these lies Satan feeds us more. John 8:44-45 says, and this is Jesus’ speaking “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.” The point Jesus is making is we believe a lie but the truth in this case spoken of Jesus we will not believe. We believe what we want to believe because we want it to be truth, but the Holy Spirit sees our thoughts because they are spiritual.

We need to surrender to the Holy Spirit. That means we should spend a lot of time with the Holy Spirit. What I have done was to ask God to use me. Most people will not do that because they do not trust God. My point is we want to get God’s attention as we speak up in prayer or conversation. I have had to battle fear of people most of my life, but I needed to trust somebody and chose God. I also had to battle spirits once I chose God. It is learned by experience how the Holy Spirit collaborates with us. It was when I understood who the Holy Spirit was and that the Holy Spirit lives in us that it changed my life. The Holy Spirit speaks through our thoughts and while I speak to people, he gives me the words to speak to them. What we do not know is when we put ourselves into a situation, our thoughts which helped us to get in that position can get us back out if we are hearing the Holy Spirit. 1 John 5:14 says “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” We need to know God’s will for us, it could be different for each of us. It again gets down to what we are praying for and God knowing what he wants us to do and that puts us down the path the Holy Spirit wants us to go. The problem we have is we do not know the timing when our prayer is answered. The other thing is we ask for one thing, but the Holy Spirit gives another, and we do not see what he has for us because we are still looking for exactly what we asked. Because we have not seen what we have asked for we keep dwelling on that and move away from our focus on the Holy Spirit and hearing Him.

We have the key to our life, our thoughts, and our future. If we choose to live in the flesh and not in the spirit our life will show those results. The Holy Spirit is our future and without it we go back to fighting our battles alone if we do not invite the Holy Spirit into our life and our issues and the battles we have. We need to know who our enemy is, his character and question our thoughts if there is any doubt whether our thoughts are from Satan or God. The thing we need to do is ask the Holy Spirit if those thoughts are his. I have kept thoughts for a time until I know where my thoughts have come from. 1 John 4:4-6 says “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore, speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.” Satan does not have control of us, we let him. The Holy Spirit will not control us only if we let him but if we will let him, “greater is he that lives in us than he (Satan) who is in the world.”

We must be students of God’s word and work on that relationship where we become one. When we believe in the Holy Spirit, then we can overcome the world. It takes that partnership where we collaborate with the Holy Spirit to win. Let us all be one with the Holy Spirit. God Bless.
