We Must be Humble to Honor God—R Fritz

Being humble is who God wants us to be, that is one of his characteristics. When Jesus came, he showed us God’s character and who he was. Philippians 2:6-10 says “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;” This is God coming to earth in the form of the likeness of man who humbled himself, something God does not have to do, and was to be obedient unto death on the cross. This is God in the flesh who showed how humbleness was done where obedience was without question. That is how we show humbleness to God, it is also how we understand God’s character and how we are to be. The things we do through being humble require us to give up our opinion and surrender our will and do the things we might not want to do. I have been there where I did not want to do what God wanted me to do, that was not the result.

There were things I needed to work through that would let me question what God wanted me to do. I am the person who God has decided to show by walking through life instead of just telling me, God is teaching me where I can show us how we are supposed to live life. 1 Corinthians 12:28 says “And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracle, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.” Every person that reads this needs to ask God exactly how in their life this applies to them. We make the decisions what we do but God gives us the thoughts or ambition to do what God knows will change our life forever. That is what is so exciting about the things we are fearful of. We just need to hang onto Jesus’s hand if we cannot see what God is doing. I learned and now see we need to wait on God to make the path where we are to go down. That is what I have learned that God will give me direction when I need it because I am doing God’s work.

Our enemy is always trying to confuse us where we do not know what we are looking at or we see what our eyes are looking at but not what our spirit sees. Our future is tied to the Spirit, the Holy Spirit which lets us see what is truly happening to us. Spirits are around us and try to manipulate our thoughts speaking through our thoughts (spiritual) just like the Holy Spirit. People that think we can fight in the flesh will learn it is a losing proposition. We need to learn the truth to be able to overcome our enemy Satan. Satan and his spirits try to manipulate us through our thoughts because they cannot read our mind. What they do is by using our thoughts Satan and his spirits speak to us to give them what we are thinking through us speaking out what we are thinking or going to do. I learned what Satan does and I will not say what I am going to do, which by staying silent, Satan loses because he does not know what I have planned until it happens. This is how the Holy Spirit showed me Satan’s characteristics and how to overcome him. People want to speak and that is what Satan is counting on that most people will be used. We also need to feel what is happening through our spirit where spirits will manipulate our feelings and thoughts when we get upset or get us to believe we are depressed, or something is going to happen to somebody. Fighting in the spirit is the only way we must overcome what is going on around us.

I learned this truth years ago but now is the time the Holy Spirit has let me write about what happens in the spirit. We need to pray, ask for God’s wisdom, and expect God to show us and give us the words to combat what Satan’s plans are to make our life miserable. People knowing what I have explained how Satan operates can now change how their house and other places can be changed from an attitude of being divisive and looking for an argument to an attitude of love and wanting to find a way to find common ground with others. This is what the Holy Spirit does when it is given the right to stay in our house or when we ask the Holy Spirit to be where we go. I have been sent by the Holy Spirit to places where Satan was in control until people started praying and when I arrived it changed who was in charge, it was not me, the Holy Spirit changed the attitude of people for me to accomplish what God had planned. We choose what happens in our house, yes Satan can manipulate people, but we have authority through the Holy Spirit that lives in us to change what is going on by asking God or the Holy Spirit to take charge, pray and speak out that spirits need to leave our house or leave where we are. Without the Holy Spirit we are trying to manipulate spirits to leave with authority we do not have. Satan has no power over us, we let him manipulate us.

Mathew 9:37-38, 10:1 says, and this is Jesus’ speaking “Then saith he unto his disciples, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.” Jesus spoke these words to his disciples because they have authority given by Jesus, we get authority through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit that lives in us gives us the words to speak out with God’s authority.

We honor God by obeying and surrendering our spirit to give the Holy Spirit authority to become a disciple (follower) of Jesus. What is amazing when I start writing is I do not know where the Holy Spirit will take me or where I will end. WE are disciples just like the twelve, then Jesus sent out seventy, two by two. Luke 10:1 says, “After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.” We honor God by being that disciple, that person God can count on to do God’s work, with God giving us tools to be successful. I can say that the couple times I believed I failed doing God’s work because I could not see the results, the Holy Spirit assured me two ways I did not, through somebody calling me and seeing the person myself. We have an awesome God who loves our praise and worship. We just need to hand it out to honor him. God Bless.
